Joseph Czyz Joseph Czyz 6’0″ | 180 lbs | ATH Galena | 2024 State NV is one of the most overlooked prospects in northern Nevada. He received his first offer from Southern Oregon University in January, and I would not be surprised to see more regional schools come in late this month. Joseph has the instincts, physicality, and size to play defense at the next level. Good awareness and acceleration displayed in coverage highlights Joseph’s potential to be a versatile second level defender in college. Flashes of next level athleticism and power in the run game suggests Joseph can develop into a hybrid linebacker in college.

Treshawn Bush Treshawn Bush 5’9″ | 155 lbs | ATH Las Vegas | 2024 State NV is the definition of a heart over height prospect. The talented two-way prospect has the athleticism and speed tools to thrive in a nickelback role in college. He received an offer from Snow College this year, so be on the look out for more schools to come in late this winter. Quick hips and next level burst suggests Trey has the athletic ability to live as a man defender in college. Good strength, instincts, and athletic ability consistently allows Trey to make plays at the catch point. Trey has the awareness, tackling ability, and explosive speed to thrive in a collegiate secondary. Good vision and elusiveness in space highlights Trey’s potential to contribute in the return game.

Adrian Peterson Adrian Peterson 5’10” | 165 lbs | DB Arbor View | 2024 State NV is one of the best DBs still available in Las Vegas. Adrian received his first offer from Concordia Ann-Arbor in December, so keep an eye out for more schools to come in late this winter. Adrian shows good awareness and closing speed disrupting passes in zones outside of his coverage responsibilities. Good quickness, athleticism, and physicality get displayed mirroring receivers at the break point. Adrian’s strength, explosiveness, and instincts suggests he has all the tools to thrive on an island at the next level.

Zyzaiah Duncan
Zyzaiah Duncan
Zyzaiah Duncan has flown under the radar despite playing for powerhouse Bishop Gorman. Zyzaiah received an opportunity to play at Pacific University and a preferred walk-on at UNLV. I think there are more schools who will come in late this winter to the talented corner’s recruitment. Zyzaiah shows good awareness and a fast change of direction disrupting passes outside of his underneath zone. Good strength, tackling ability, and next level acceleration gets displayed attacking bubble screens from a deep alignment. Zyzaiah has the speed, footwork, and athleticism to be a solid man defender in college.
Jackson Miller-Carpenter Jackson Miller-Carpenter 6’5″ | 240 lbs | TE Arbor View | 2024 State NV is one of the best, uncommitted two-way prospects in Nevada. He received an offer from Colorado-Pueblo this month. Although Jackson may receive interest at tight end, I expect more defensive recruiters to come in late to the good-sized defender’s recruitment this winter. Coaches love Jackson’s physicality and effort displayed as a lead blocker on offense. Good instincts and quickness get displayed disrupting runs in the backfield as an unblocked defender. Jackson has the length, power, and athleticism to develop into a versatile edge rusher in college.
