If you are trying to generate interest from colleges, having a Twitter account with all the important information and film a college would want to look for is the best place to start. This will be the start of a weekly series of articles covering the film I have been sent on Twitter that has stood out to me. To be featured in one of these articles, send the player’s film to my Twitter @josh_josefczyk.
QB Ali Beydoun Ali Beydoun 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB Toledo Central Catholic | 2027 OH (Toledo Central Catholic) 2027 @qb1_ali – As a freshman playing JV, Ali put on a clinic this past season. For a guy that still has 3 more years of high school football, his deep ball placement and touch pop off the tape right away. He looks comfortable in the pocket and shows the ability to stay calm and make accurate throws with defenders closing in. Ali is a name to watch for as he continues to develop and gain experience as a high school quarterback. I am excited to continue to watch him grow next season.
RB Mikelle Moore (Aiken) 2025 @Mikelle_Moore0 – Mikelle was a key piece for Aiken this past season, as a running back and slot receiver, but also playing a little defense as well. Immediately, his balance and elusiveness as a ball carrier is what stood out to me. For a guy with a smaller frame, he plays with a lot of physicality and is a tough runner to bring down. He also impresses me lined up in the slot, where he shows soft hands and good concentration. Be on the lookout for Mikelle to have a breakout senior season and start gaining some more traction with colleges.
ATH Spike Woods Spike Woods 6'0" | 195 lbs | ATH Teays Valley | 2026 State OH (Teays Valley) 2026 @Spike2litt – I would classify Spike as more of a one-cut down hill runner. He hits the hole fast and once he breaks through the LOS he is at a beeline for the endzone. He doesn’t need to be super elusive getting around defenders when he can just out-stride them to the endzone. He also makes plays on the defensive side of the ball as an outside linebacker where he is successful dropping back in coverage in addition to getting after the quarterback. His combination of size and speed as only a sophomore make me excited to see the development ahead for him the next two seasons.
TE Mason Marchbank Mason Marchbank 6'3" | 230 lbs | TE Toronto | 2025 OH (Toronto) 2025 @MarchbankMason – Mason is a very versatile receiving threat for Toronto. When looking at the film, he instantly looks like the best player on the field for either team. He uses his size and physicality well at the tight end position, blocking and running routes from a three-point stance, but he also looks like a natural wide receiver when lined up on the outside. He is a big 6’3 target with good hands that can high point the ball well. He has success being used basically everywhere on offense whether its screen passes, pitches and even getting direct snaps to run the ball. I expect Mason to continue getting more interest from colleges going into his final season.
LB Jake Lopinto Jake Lopinto 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Licking Heights | 2025 State OH (Licking Heights) 2025 @JakeLopinto – Jake is an impressive athlete for Licking Heights. For a guy who is primarily a linebacker, he jumps off the tape with some very athletic plays on the offensive side of the ball as a running back as well. On defense, he shows good coverage ability with fluid and fast movement all over the middle of the field. He reads his keys quickly and is able to make good cuts to get after the ball carrier. His combination of speed, burst and hands on the offensive side of the ball is scary and translates well to how he plays on the defensive side. I can confidently see Jake being a good defensive player at the FCS and even FBS level and I expect his stock to continue to grow.
