I will provide a detailed breakdown of the same footage so you can follow along. This is an excellent opportunity for any athlete in Oregon to get recognized, as I am willing to write about anyone who reaches out. There will be five athletes in each post until I finish the list!

The film is intriguing here. The size and athleticism are there with Brody. The problem I’m seeing is the blocking. There are not enough blocking clips on this tape for a coach for a high-level program to feel comfortable offering. That’s not to say he is a bad blocker. The film needs to prove it. Everything else gets me really excited watching this kid. He has great speed for the size and is reliable catching the football. Brody is a player that might blow up with the proper offseason.
This is fantastic film for a sophomore quarterback. The film showcases all aspects of his game and checks off almost every box a college coach would look for in a highlight reel. I appreciated the athleticism that was showcased towards the end of the film, as in today’s game, it’s becoming paramount for QBs to be able to extend plays. Spencer, at least not yet, does not have the ideal size for a quarterback, but he has the talent. For the next two years, if he could showcase some more zip on his throws and prove he can fit in tight spaces in the middle of the field and toward the sideline, I don’t see any reason why he won’t end up playing quarterback collegiately.
I don’t see a weakness in this film. This is how you put together a highlight reel. Everything is there: the velocity throws in the middle and outside of the field, the touch throws deep, the scramble and throw on the run, and even the athleticism. Sawyer should get some serious college interest if he keeps this up for his senior year, which I’m confident he will. Easily one of the top quarterbacks in the state.

This is another top QB in Oregon. We have gotten lucky in the first article of this series with some seriously talented quarterbacks. Liam is similar to Sawyer, as you would need help to point out a significant flaw or weakness in his game. The touch throws were there, the arm strength on throws in the middle and outside of the field, the scramble and throws on the run, and athleticism are definite plus with Liam. If I were being overly critical, I would like to see some more zip on his deep balls, as some caught quite a bit of air, but that is being quite picky. What a great athlete and quarterback. I am excited to watch him play this year.

I am glad that the last athlete to be featured in the first article of this series is a lineman. The piece needed to give some love to the big boys. We don’t just have any lineman; we have one who wreaked havoc on the PIL this past year as a junior. When watching the film, it is evident that he is better than his opponent and will continue to overpower inferior competition. He has the strength to be dominant against all competition, but like almost all other high school linemen, the technique could use some work. If he could become comfortable staying low, exploding through contact with his hips, and limit standing straight up off the ball, he could be much better and enticing to college coaches. I can’t wait to see him play next year and see what he used this offseason to work on.
