York was one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in 6A, combining production through the air with dangerous mobility. He consistently made plays outside the offense’s structure and extended drives with his legs. York’s poise and arm talent kept Beaverton competitive every week. His dual-threat ability made him difficult to game plan against.

York could be on the verge of a breakout next season, as there is some talent on this Beaverton roster. York will not wow people with his size or arm talent, but he will make smart decisions and throw the ball with nice anticipation, which is a gift in high school. Beaverton should be at ease knowing they have such a confident and capable quarterback returning for their senior season next year.

Spencer had an awesome season this year, putting up big numbers week after week. It is only a matter of time before that leads to some success in the win column, but unfortunately, it was not this year. Beaverton finished 2-7 and will look to rebuild once again. The good news is that QB1 and WR1 are both returning, which is helpful for any program looking to take that next step.
