I am excited to announce a new series on our website where athletes can submit their hudl highlights for us to watch and evaluate together. I will provide a detailed breakdown of the same footage so you can follow along. This is an excellent opportunity for any athlete in Oregon to get recognized, as I am willing to write about anyone who reaches out. There will be five athletes in each post until I finish the list!

Barry is an intriguing young player coming out of Sheldon High School. I think the main thing that stood out to me the most from the film was the ball skills. The interceptions were quite impressive for a young defensive back. The size is also a huge plus for Barry, not only is he 6’1 but he has really long arms to help him make plays on the ball. Corner is where I would like to see Barry specialize as he gets older, because with that size and wingspan, he could have some serious schools eyeing to get him in their program.

Speed kills, huh? That is clearly what pops when you turn on the tape as the first few clips are Nick just torching the defense for a deep bomb. What was impressive were some of the catches he was making as he is comfortable catching away from his body and over the shoulder. The route running is impressive too as there are multiple clips of him embarrassing the defensive backs. Nick will be one of the top players for Wilsonville this year as they look to defend their 5A title and am excited to see what kind of offers he can get as he can play some serious football.

Eye-catching freshman. That is the immediate thought as you watch Arrelious in action for just one game at the freshman level. He played running back during this game because at the freshman level, that is just where you put your best player. I am not sure if he will be a running back moving forward as he looks like he can do anything on the field. I am excited to see him develop, and I wish I could say more about him, but it is difficult with just one games worth of highlights. He should develop nicely and be another great player for the Tigard program.

What an interesting player. The athleticism is there with Tobin, which is great for a center to possess. Having the ability to play middle linebacker for a very good 5A team in West Albany should check any questions on his athletic ability. The power is also there for Tobin. He will obviously have to get stronger at the next level but for a junior in high school, he has plenty of strength to put defenders on their backside. Cleaning up the technique and adding strength will be vital for Tobin this offseason as he will be one of the top players for West Albany next season and should be receiving offers to play at the next level soon.

Easily one of the top freshmen in Oregon last year, and the film backs it up. Jordan was able to get some varsity snaps as a freshman, which will only help his development as I thought his best clips on the film were at the varsity level. What I particularly enjoy is that he just looks like he belongs there. I get the size is great and he has impressive arm talent, but his demeanor looked so relaxed and comfortable under those Friday night lights. If all goes well for Jordan and his development, he will be looking at some pretty impressive offers by the time he is a senior.
