McBean had 77 tackles with an interception and a forced fumble this season.
Long Beach Jordan quarterback Jarret Nielsen Jarret Nielsen 5’10” | 190 lbs | QB Jordan | 2025 State CA was offered by San Jose State last Monday.
Nielsen completed 67 percent of his passes for 3411 yards with 29 touchdowns and 10 interceptions for Jordan last season. The dual-threat quarterback also ran for 783 yards with eight touchdowns.
He is a two-sport athlete who also plays baseball at Jordan.
San Jose State is the sixth school to offer Nielsen, joining Arizona, Colorado State and Hawaii among others.
Murrieta Valley offensive lineman Drew Nichols Drew Nichols 6’5″ | 270 lbs | OL Murrieta Valley | 2025 State CA picked up an offer from Arkansas last week.
Nichols made Prep Redzone’s All-Southern California Junior Team earlier this offseason.
He is up to six offers.
Newport Harbor quarterback Jaden O’Neal Jaden O’Neal 6’3″ | 205 lbs | QB Narbonne | 2026 State CA gained offers from Florida State and Oklahoma last week.
O’Neal averaged 225 yards per game with 27 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last season.
He earned MVP honors at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase in January and his arm strength is among the best in the class.
O’Neal is up to 20 offers with the addition of Oklahoma.
Top-rated linebacker Samu Moala Samu Moala 6’3″ | 235 lbs | LB Leuzinger | 2026 State CA of Leuzinger picked up an offer from Southern Methodist University last week.
Moala was the leading tackler for Leuzinger last season and is a top five recruit in the state according to Prep Redzone.
He is an inside linebacker who some expect to be an edge rusher at the next level due to his plus speed.
Connor Morrissette of USCfootball.com reported that USC is making Moala a top priority in its 2026 recruiting class.
