Jordan (Long Beach) quarterback Jarret Nielsen Jarret Nielsen 5'10" | 205 lbs | QB Jordan | 2025 State CA announced his commitment to Hawaii on Wednesday.
He completed 67 percent of his passes for 310 yards per game with 29 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. As a runner, he ran for 783 yards with eight touchdowns.
Nielsen is also a quality baseball player. He chose Hawaii over five other players including San Jose State and Texas State.
He is the first player from California in Hawaii’s 2025 recruiting class and the first quarterback.

Nielsen completed 67 percent of his passes for 3411 yards with 29 touchdowns and 10 interceptions for Jordan last season. The dual-threat quarterback also ran for 783 yards with eight touchdowns.
He is a two-sport athlete who also plays baseball at Jordan.
San Jose State is the sixth school to offer Nielsen, joining Arizona, Colorado State and Hawaii among others.

The previous record was 543 yards set in 2019. Nielsen completed 31 of 37 passes in a 59-24 win over North Torrance.
