In this post, we’re emptying the notebook from the 18U division. These were more players that stood out to us during the two days in The Woodlands! Keep it locked in for more 18U coverage as well as a look at some of the top standouts from the 14U division and 15U.
Aiden Martin Aiden Martin 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Tomball Memorial | 2025 TX – 2025 QB – The Lab Black
We wrote about 2025 quarterback Aiden Martin Aiden Martin 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Tomball Memorial | 2025 TX coming into the week as one of the quarterbacks to watch and he certainly lived up to the hype. Playing with The Lab, Martin did a great job of being accurate with his passes downfield. He was another example of a quarterback that had a really good understanding of the offense and was able to execute without a lot of oversight from coaches. Martin was accurate and strong on his throws down the field and he not only impressed our writers but some of the other staff members around the tourney.
Cade Corcoran – 2025 QB – CStat PFOB
College Station took advantage of the short trip to The Woodlands for a tournament and performed well throughout the weekend. One player that really stood out was 2025 Cade Corcoran at the quarterback position. Corcoran wasn’t the only quarterback that got reps on Saturday but he certainly impressed when he was running the offense. he looks the part physically and can absolutely sling it around the field. In Saturday’s pool games specifically, Corcoran did a really good job of spreading the ball around to his playmakers.
Everett Gary Jr. – 2026 WR – Texas TAP
We’ve written about several standouts from the Texas TAP squad as they made a run to the 18U championship game and were one of the better teams in attendance. One player that stood out every time we watched them was 2026 wide receiver Everett Gary Jr. and he was one of the best receivers in the 18U division. Each time we got a chance to see Texas TAP in action, it felt like Gary was getting separation or simply running by everyone and making big catches down field. Look out for this 2026 standout to make more noise this offseason.
Tanner Huckfelt Tanner Huckfelt 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Concordia Lutheran | 2025 State TX – 2025 QB – Sho Time
H-Town Sho Time was a fun team to watch throughout the weekend because at any moment, they could flip a switch and be one of the more dominant teams in attendance. Leading the way was 2025 quarterback Tanner Huckfelt Tanner Huckfelt 6'0" | 180 lbs | QB Concordia Lutheran | 2025 State TX and just like with Martin, Huckfelt was another quarterback that we wrote about last week leading up to the start of the tournament. Huckfelt had an excellent feel for the offense and rarely put his team in a bad position. At least while we were watching them in action, Huckfelt was pretty flawless.
Wayne Shanks Jr. Wayne Shanks Jr. 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Cy Woods | 2027 State TX – 2027 WR – The Lab Black
We mentioned the success that The Lab had on Saturday and Sunday and they had a few guys that really stood out during the tournament. One of their younger players that played up in the 18U division was 2027 wide receiver Wayne Shanks Jr. Wayne Shanks Jr. 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB Cy Woods | 2027 State TX and he had a good performance on offense. Shanks emerged as one of the top targets on the offensive side of the ball and he made some big catches when we watched him in person. During one dominant game on Saturday, Shanks and several other players really stood out and Shanks has a bright future.
Xavier Foster – 2026 DB – DFW Pride ’26
DFW Pride had a few teams in the 18U division and the younger 2026 team impressed us on Saturday during one of the pool play games. While watching them in action, they had a balanced team throughout the contest but 2026 defensive back Xavier Foster ended up coming up big towards the end of the game. With DFW Pride needing to get a stop on the defensive side of the ball, it was Foster coming up with a clutch pass break up to secure the win. Foster was recognized by his coaches following the game on having that standout moment.
