We’ll keep writing it because it continues to be relevant to the conversation. Lawton MacArthur’s 2026 class is absolutely loaded and the Highlanders are going to be fun to watch this fall. Defensive back Adam Auston Adam Auston 6’2″ | 200 lbs | DB Lawton MacArthur | 2026 State OK has emerged as one of the best safety prospect in the state’s 2026 class and has made a huge jump in the recent ranking update into the top ten for overall prospects. Early in his high school career, we weren’t sure where Auston projected in terms of his position. Now, he’s a safety and he has an unbelievable skill set that fits it very well. Auston’s anticipation and on-field IQ make him a very dangerous player to watch moving forward and the Highlanders have a few to know.

Owasso running back Jayson Moll Jayson Moll 5’8″ | 170 lbs | RB Owasso | 2026 State OK enjoyed a breakout season as a sophomore last fall and made a jump up into the Top 20 in the recent ranking update. Moll also moved up at the running back position. The Owasso standout is incredibly shifty and when you combine his physical make up and skill set, it’s hard not to see former Bixby standout Braylin Presley. Moll’s footwork is outstanding and it allows him to be incredibly shifty and quick. And just like we said with Presley when he was at Bixby, Moll might be undersized but you can’t hit what you can’t touch. And Moll’s overall quickness and speed make him a threat every time he has the ball. This fall should be a huge year for Moll.

Ada offensive lineman Dawson Matthews Dawson Matthews 6’5″ | 260 lbs | OL Ada | 2026 State OK moved up 27 spots and into the top 20 on this last update. He also landed at the #2 spot for offensive linemen in this class. Matthews has all the tools to be a very successful offensive lineman and there’s certainly a bright future there already. As Matthews continues to grow, he’s going to become even more dominant. He’s had success at the tackle position in the past. It will be interesting to see what the natural position becomes for Matthews at the next level. Similar to Kester, who is the #1 OL in this class, Matthews possesses the ability to absolutely maul his opponent. The Ada product is also seeing his recruitment start to take off.

Holland Hall’s Julius Wilson Julius Wilson 6’4″ | 190 lbs | ATH Holland Hall | 2026 State OK is another two-sport star to watch in the state’s 2026 class. Wilson is already considered a top five in-state prospect on the basketball floor and he made a big leap in the recent football rankings. Wilson is a very talented athlete and we’ve gotten a chance to see him in both sports. Wilson moved into the Top 25 for the overall prospects in this latest update. On offense, Wilson has the potential to be a game-changing wide receiver. On defense, don’t overlook his ability on the defensive side of the ball at safety. There is no doubt that Wilson is a terrific athlete and he’s going to have some options moving forward. There’s a lot of upside in football.
We mentioned this Lawton MacArthur 2026 class has dudes. Another Highlander that made a massive jump in the recent ranking update was Aivan Locklin Aivan Locklin 6’0″ | 175 lbs | QB Lawton MacArthur | 2026 State OK at the quarterback position. Locklin jumped all the way up to #30 overall and took another big leap at the quarterback position. The Highlander standout impressed us last season when we got a chance to see him in person and from what we got to see on tape. He certainly benefits from having some absolute weapons but he has some traits at the quarterback position that you don’t see very often. The biggest is his ability to throw his guy open. Locklin doesn’t need to see his man open before pulling the trigger.
