Nelson checks into our rankings as the number two signal caller in his class and a top seven overall prospect within the state of Idaho in this loaded ’26 class. Although only starting a portion of the season, he put up big time numbers throwing for 1,400 yards and only 4 INT’s. He is a bigger pocket presence that can feel out pressure well, and has a live arm downfield with good spin and velocity on the ball while throwing his receivers open and is able to fit the ball into tight windows. His size and already big time arm make him a no brainer next level kid that should draw college interest sooner rather than later.
Highlights
Brant checks in just after Nelson as our number three signal caller across Idaho, and deservingly so. He is a very athletic pocket passer that knows when to tuck it and run, while flashing he can throw across his body and push the ball downfield with plus spin and accuracy. Like Nelson, he also has good size for his age, and is strong in the pocket while not afraid to take a shot in order to deliver the ball downfield. He is a fast processor that scans defenses quickly and is not afraid to take what is given underneath.
Highlights
Avella is a big time prospect at the quarterback position with a snappy release and strong arm downfield that can make all the throws from the pocket, and knows when to buy time with his legs. On tape, he shows that he is a on schedule thrower, that is comfortable both fitting the ball in tight windows with out-breaking and in-breaking routes, while putting nice touch on the deep ball and velocity on it in order to let his receivers run underneath it. He is tough to bring down in the pocket due to his lower body strength and pressure awareness, and is a no brainer next level kid and one of the top returning players across the state.
Highlights
Symons is a still developing prospect and is very active in the pocket, while excelling at throwing on the run and can make big plays with his legs downfield with his escapability and disciplined eyes under pressure. Although still needing to clean up some things mechanically, he is a true gunslinger that is not afraid to take chances with the ball, and is always dangerous as a running threat and making something happen out of broken plays. He checks in just outside the top 15 overall across Idaho, and at our number five quarterback spot after coming off a very nice Sophomore campaign for CDL.
