Matthew Somoza (Lake Forest – 5'10” 225 lbs)

Liked what we saw out of this stout 5'10" 225 pound defensive tackle. Quickness up the field vs the run. The DT chases down plays with his ability to run. Stuffs the run game. Can absorb blocks and plays with a good motor. Does a nice job of getting low, shedding the block, and making a tackle in the interior run game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1292155' first='Barron' last='Sholl'] (Rockford Boylan – 6'4” 240 lbs)

Great physical tools with this 6'4" 240 pound defensive end. Sholl gets off the ball and makes plays downhill in the run game. Such a great burst pursuing back. Can also sets edge in the run game. Runs sideline to sideline and secures the tackle bringing his man down. Can slide inside and play some defensive tackle as well. Blocked a punt. Really liked how well he blocked and tipped passes when rushing the passer.

Donald Hubbard (Bartlett – 6'0” 200 lbs)

This 6'0" 200 pound defensive end is a bit on the light side and might be best suited at the next level as an outside linebacker. Ferocious tackler that gets up the field. Very good bend off the edge and fight through traffic in his pursuit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1292249' first='Juan' last='Marquez'] (Grayslake North – 6'2” 225 lbs)

Physically imposing defensive end that might be best at the next level as a 3-4 end. Burst off of the line and can get up field winning either on the inside or outside. FIghts through traffic. Physical hitter that is at his best against the run. Changes direction and is instinctual finding the back.

[player_tooltip player_id='1292772' first='Michael' last='Keany'] (Niles Notre Dame – 5'8” 185 lbs)

Super small and light defensive lineman at 5'8" 185 pounds. He makes up for that size by getting low to beat his man. Up and over move was used to get up field on numerous occasions. Quickness off the ball and gives it everything he has. Small college guy.

Austin Mulingbayan (Niles West – 5'7” 193 lbs)

This undersized defensive tackle had a short and to the point highlight tape. He is a bit small, but uses his quickness to get up the field against the run to make plays in the backfield.

Vaughn Werner (Barrington – 6'0” 240 lbs)

Big and physical defensive tackle. Takes good angles against the interior offensive lineman. Is at his best stuffing the run, but does flash some pass rush ability. One impressive play he ran down a pass catcher 30 yards down the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1292251' first='Emmanuel' last='Olojo'] (Niles West – 6'0” 265 lbs)

Liked what we saw on film from this Niles West defensive tackle. Burst off the line of scrimmage and the three technique can really get up the field making plays in the backfield against both the run and the pass. Chases down plays outside of his area with a good motor. Upside here!
