Issac Lopez
Issac Lopez
Lopez possesses the speed and twitch coaches look for in smaller, slot-utility WRs (5’5”/140). He’s slick and effortless in his change-of-direction and overall fluidity, and can accelerate through tight spaces on the perimeter. He’s effective on jet sweeps, quick-hitters underneath, and as a return specialist where he can utilize his natural athleticism and playmaking ability to take advantage of space. Lopez’s size on paper might limit his potential suitors, but his upside as a playmaker is worth looking at.
Franky Olmedo
Franky Olmedo
Olmedo’s a sneaky athletic and productive DE that totaled 67 tackles, 12 sacks, and 19 TFLs as a senior for Chula Vista. He shows technique at the POA with active, violent hands and crafty counter-moves as a pass rusher. He attacks the backfield with relentless motor showing burst and quick lateral movement when closing on ball-carriers behind the LOS. With the frame he holds (6’/220) and the athletic skillset he showed as a senior, Olmedo offers potential to be a versatile EDGE defender at the next level.
Jacobo Elias
Jacobo Elias
Elias was one of the most productive and versatile playmakers in the South Bay over the past few seasons, totaling nearly 3,000 yards passing and 27 TDs and another 700 yards and 7 TDs rushing as a senior. He’s a talented all-around athlete that can sling from the pocket, evade and improvise, and stress the defense with his legs. He’s a smooth ball-handler, puts natural zip on the ball, and can place accurate passes into tight windows over the middle. Elias is one of the more intriguing prospects without an offer in San Diego.
Oluwatolani Osinfolarin
Oluwatolani Osinfolarin
Osinfolarin was the leading rusher for the Otay Ranch offense with 600+ yards and 9 TDs on 108 carries. He’s a balanced back that sees the lanes well at the LOS, can cut laterally to space, and shows some open-field speed out on the perimeter. He runs with strong leg drive thorough contact but could improve his pad level to generate more power at the POA. Osinfolarin should be on the radar for any D-III programs looking for a RB. .
Ceejay Clavier
Ceejay Clavier
Clavier’s a physical ILB that totaled 68 tackles and 7 TFLs as a senior for Olympian. He’s a heavy-hitter between the OTs with his stocky, filled out LB frame (6’2”/230) and downhill physicality. Would like to see him more active with his feet at the snap to beat OL to the spot but he does read-and-react to the ball on time. Clavier’s an underrated South Bay defender that should be an offer-now candidate for D-III programs.
