With how deep the position is, there are always those players that end up going unnoticed and fall under-the-radar to many ranking boards. Here, you will find a list of multiple wide receivers in the state of Ohio going into their senior season that are worthy of more notoriety.
Troy Hazuda
Troy Hazuda
Troy is a heavily underrated receiver. He has some of the best hands in the state. He shows ability to make every tough, contested catch. He makes a quarterback’s job easier with his large catch radius. He also has good twitch and speed that allows him to break off explosive runs after the catch as well as create separation off the LOS . He runs good routes in all three areas. His ability to recognize and find open space in zone coverage is impressive. I will not be surprised when he starts receiving more interest from schools going into his last season.

Emmanuel is a jump ball monster with his 6’3 frame and overall length. His ability to high point the football with strong hands makes him dangerous as a redzone target. He has underrated straight line speed to create separation on deep routes. His body control and ability to adjust to the ball in the air is good considering his larger frame. He is definitely a guy to watch out for to have a breakout senior season.
Deuce Mathis II
Deuce Mathis II
Deuce shows a great combination of speed and physicality. His quickness and burst off the LOS makes him very dangerous on deep routes. He shows the ability to line up both outside and in the slot. He plays with great physicality at the position as both a ball carrier fighting for extra yards and as a blocker on the perimeter with the ball coming to his side. He is excellent on bubble screens with his quick acceleration and not being shy about contact. I will be excited to watch him develop even further in his senior season.
Keith is electric with the ball in his hands. He is someone you get the ball in space and watch him do the rest. He makes eluding defenders look easy with his deceptive quickness and burst. He will make defenders pay for taking poor angles as he will outstride them down the sideline. He shows good ability to recognize gaps in zones and abuse soft coverage. His frame in addition to his good hands also make him a reliable jump ball target. Currently holding 1 offer from Akron, I expect more schools to start showing interest going into next season.
JJ Baldwin
JJ Baldwin
JJ is a very well-rounded receiver. His situational awareness on the field stands out. He runs good routes at depths aligned to the markers. He shows good, reliable hands in crucial situations. He has good concentration and can adjust well to the ball in the air. He can run routes and all three areas with the speed to create separation on deep routes. He is a guy you trust to make plays with the game on the line. I am looking forward to watching his development in his senior season.
