Continue ReadingGlenville has been a D1 pipeline for decades and Parker is just another one in the line. At 6’3 220 he has a good combination of size and speed. He’s able to physically play through defensive backs and he has the speed to run by linebackers. He does a good job of tracking the ball and making adjustments on deep throws. When the ball arrives, he does a good job of boxing out defenders to make the catch. Isaiah shows good suddenness and the ability to be explosive in and out of breaks, especially for a player of his size. He does a great job of creating separation. Parker currently holds 3 G5 offers and I’d expect him to add to that list during the 2024 camp season.

A two-sport standout at Warren Harding, Coleman is a dynamic playmaker at the quarterback position. Standing 6’5 and 205 pounds, Coleman is top notch athlete with the ball in his hands. He’s sudden in his movements in avoiding the rush and when he tucks the ball to run, he can take it to the house on any play. When on the run he does a good job of keeping his eyes up and making throws on the run and off schedule. From the pocket he has the arm strength and accuracy to drive the ball into windows. As he gets more reps and his comfort level grows, he has a chance to take his game to another level. A skilled player on the basketball court he’s an explosive dunker and shows great lateral movement and lateral movement in his ability to crossover defenders. Chaz just picked up his first D1 offer from Akron. With Parker’s athleticism and dynamic playmaking ability I could really see him blowing up on the D1 scene this summer.

Bonny had a big Junior year where he tallied 10 sacks on the season while playing in one of the best conferences in southwest Ohio. Regan is an Edge that has the versatility to be able to lineup in a 2 point or with his hand in the dirt. Bonny shows a good burst that he uses to win the edge. To counter that burst off the edge he has a nice crossover dip move that he uses get inside and crash the pocket. At 6’3 215 Bonny has a frame to continue to fill out and get stronger. If he were to add a strong bull rush, I think that would fully round out his pass rush attack. I think Bonny would be a great fit at the D1 FCS or D2 levels.

Estoesta is an active safety who was the strength of the backend of the Comets defense. He diagnoses and gets downhill in a hurry. Preston has strong change of direction skills that allow him to mirror ball carriers or receivers well. In coverage he has a smooth backpedal and is explosive in his breaks. He has good top end speed that allow him to cover a lot of space in a short amount of time. With continued weight and strength, I really like Preston’s ceiling as a player. Estoesta has burst onto the scene this offseason with D1 G5 offers. I expect that interest to continue to grow.

Egbert was a key contributor on a strong Purcell Marian team that finished 10-3 in 2023. While’s he’s a bit of a late bloomer his filling out nicely. He’s a versatile edge who can both get to the quarterback and set the edge in the run game. Jayden has a good get-off and burst off the edge. He’s violent at the point of attack and plays through blockers in the run game. At 6’3 225 pounds Egbert already has great size and should fill out into an explosive edge who can also shut down the outside run game. Egbert earned his first D1 offer from Bucknell this offseason. I expect Egbert to begin to gain D1 interests this offseason.

Princeton high school has built a strong and attacking defense over the last several years that’s featured a lot of talent. Because of all of that talent Overson was a player who simply had wait and earn his turn. In the 2023 season his turn finally came and he put together some really good film. Jaimion shows a good burst that he uses to win the edge on opposing offensive tackles. He also possesses a good bull rush and strong hands to shed blockers that allowed him to be used some on the interior of the defensive line. He plays with a great motor and frequently is able to run plays down from the backside. He followed up a strong junior season with D1 FCS and FBS G5 offers. I expect Olverson to continue building upon that list this summer.
