Ethan Stubbs Ethan Stubbs 6’0″ | 180 lbs | WR Foothill | 2024 State NV had over forty catches during Foothill’s 2023 season. With Foothill’s playoff run and Ethan’s production, I am surprised he has not received more attention. Ethan received an offer from Ottawa University this weekend, so don’t be surprised when more schools come in late this winter. Ethan’s acceleration, footwork, and quickness allows him to gain separation from defenders with minimal space to work with. Good tracking ability, balance, and athleticism allows Ethan to adjust outside of his frame and reel in off-target throws. Ethan displays good strength and toughness initiating contact with DBs as a ball carrier in the open field.
Tyrik Simeus Tyrik Simeus 6’0″ | 165 lbs | WR Desert Pines | 2024 State NV has been on college visits in the past, so I am surprised to not see him get more attention during his senior year. Watch out for schools to come in late to the good-sized receiver’s recruitment. Tyrik’s next level combination of speed and explosiveness shows accelerating off the line of scrimmage and easily gaining vertical separation on press defenders. Good size, strength, and balance shows completing catches while absorbing contact. Tyrik’s vision, quickness, and athletic ability allows him to create with the ball in his hands.
Chase Otteson Chase Otteson 5’10” | 165 lbs | WR Virgin Valley | 2024 State NV had an ultra productive senior campaign, so I am wondering why he has not received more attention from recruiters. I expect Chase will be a solid pickup for any team still in need of a do-it-all slot receiver. Chase shows a next level combination of top speed and explosiveness that is essential for a slot receiver’s ability to separate from defenders. Chase displays strong hands and good athleticism elevating over defenders to win 50/50 balls. Good power and toughness gets displayed flattening defensive backs in the run game.
Highlights
I am amazed coaches have not offered Julian Fuller Julian Fuller 6’4″ | 180 lbs | ATH Clark | 2024 NV . The versatile prospect has the tools to be either a receiver or tight end at the next level. Julian’s combination of strength, balance, and athleticism allows him to run through or around defenders in the open field. Good length and adjustment ability shows catching back shoulder fades near the sidelines. Coaches like Julian’s combination of size and quickness displayed separating from smaller defenders. Good power and effort shown as a blocker suggests Julian can be a versatile receiver in college.
Jaylen Hardy Jaylen Hardy 6’3″ | 190 lbs | WR Lake Mead Christian | 2024 NV is one of the most slept on seniors in Nevada. The good-sized receiver has offers but I am surprised he has not committed yet. Expect Jaylen to be a steal for any teams looking for an X out of Las Vegas. Quickness and next level strength allows Jaylen to beat press defenders in a variety of ways. Jaylen’s vision, burst, and athleticism gets displayed creating big gains after shaking defenders in traffic. Good length, balance, strong hands, and adjustment ability highlights Jaylen’s ability to be a redzone threat in college.
