Knowing who is next up for a program after the seniors graduate is important for recruiting. This article will highlight two programs from the 5A classification that should be recruiting destinations for college programs by taking a look at a handful of players on their rosters.

Fossil Ridge Sabercats

Fossil Ridge is a program that has consistently had a roster full of talent located in the backyard of the Colorado State Rams. Tennessee commit [player_tooltip player_id='381194' first='Gage' last='Ginther'] (2024 OL) was the most notable prospect for the Sabercats following the 2023 season, which ended with a trip to the playoffs.

With the Sabercats fielding mostly juniors during the season, college programs should emphasize recruiting Fossil Ridge this coming fall. Nate Ceschin (2025) is a 6-foot-4 offensive lineman who can play every position on the front. Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1296066' first='Nick' last='Kubat'] (2025) threw for over 2,000 yards and finished with a QB rating of 102.7, making him a QB prospect with a legitimate upside. [player_tooltip player_id='744118' first='Colton' last='Pawlak'] (2025 RB) is a talented athlete with outstanding athleticism and the ability to play multiple positions, including QB.

Fossil Ridge has two big wide receivers who should be toward the top of every Division I recruiting board that scouts the area. [player_tooltip player_id='1051288' first='Marcus' last='Mozer'] (2025) is a 6-foot-3, 190lbs WR who runs crisp and powerful routes with excellent body control and a limitless catch radius.

[player_tooltip player_id='1300462' first='Owen' last='Wind'] (2025 SS/WR) is an absolute sleeper and a physical two-way player who can be recruited for either side of the ball. This 6-foot-3, 180lbs athlete can seal the edge, cover in space, close-and-finish tackles, line up as a number-one WR, stretch the field with powerful strides, make contested catches, and block.

The Brighton Bulldogs

Brighton is a team that does not have a reputation for being a state-contending powerhouse. However, the Bulldogs have been producing next-level prospects for quite some time.

The most recent season ended with the University of Northern Colorado landing a commitment from [player_tooltip player_id='875537' first='Jackson' last='Quammie'] (2024 DB/ATH), Owen Taylor (2024 OL/DL) having four collegiate offers, Gage Chadwick (2024 OL) recently earning his second offer, and Kevin Day (2024 WR/DB) having an offer from Dort University.

Blake George (2025 QB) is a shifty dual-threat QB with a big arm and an electric playing style. Jeremiah Ramos (2025) is an explosive running back with the type of speed that earns camp invites. [player_tooltip player_id='487658' first='Dominic' last='Petrocco'] (2027 DT) is a disruptive young defensive tackle with a very bright future. Petrocco is currently the only freshman to earn a spot on Mile High Prep, Colorado's new spring football team.
