PRZPA Camp Preview: Questions I Want Answered, Top Prospects
In this article:
Question: Does Doerue deserve to be in the Top Three RB 2025 conversation?
Talking top 2025 RBs, it’s going to be tough to break into the top three with St. Joe’s Prep Isaiah West Isaiah West 6’0″ | 215 lbs | RB St. Joseph’s Prep | 2025 State PA , Aliquippa’s Tikey Hayes and Imhotep’s Jabree Coleman Jabree Coleman 6’1″ | 185 lbs | RB Imhotep Charter | 2025 State PA occupying said spots. South Park’s Eric Doerue Eric Doerue 6’0″ | 205 lbs | RB South Park | 2025 State PA is next in line, I’m interested in figuring out if he’s as athletically gifted as the others during the combine portion of the camp. I’m interested in checking out his physique as well. I think he’s an FBS back, just a matter of him proving so in front of college coaches. Tape checks out, his un-offered status hardly affected his ranking, as he’s sat pretty behind the elite trio for three straight updates. Excited to dig deeper into this young man’s game.
Question: Not a secret anymore, what’s his ceiling in terms of recruitment?
Working out of Juniata, it’s an uphill battle getting noticed. Shepps did that with an incredible sophomore campaign and tape, he’s no longer a secret or hidden gem. Shepps is now squarely in the mix with some of the best two-way athletes in his class. A top 100 debut, Shepps isn’t going to catch anyone off guard or by surprise, so what’s his recruiting ceiling? A huge deciding factor will be how he tests in front of college coaches. How fast will he run? Can he compete with the best? I’m excited to have those answers after watching him perform tomorrow night. My ranking has him beside other Division One prospects, we’ll see if I was too generous.

Question: Is he a Division One prospect?
Based on my grade after diving into 2025s, The Haverford School’s Nick Krakovitz just missed the Division One threshold by 60-80 spots. 6’2, 190, interested in how he runs, Krakovitz will have every opportunity to showcase he belongs among the class’s best wideouts. I imagine D2s will likely be interested in the young man moving forward, so long as his grades and senior tape keep pace with what we’ve seen from the junior this past Fall. Can he break into that next tier of wideouts? Am I too low on him? Hope to have a better understanding of his game after this one.

Question: Is Madox a candidate for early interest/offers?
Madox Decker was a hot name to know in the preseason. I was clamoring to find names with some hype surrounding them, Decker fit that mold in the pre-season. 6’4, 205, ranked as a top-five tight end to know for programs digging into 2027s. I have yet to dive into any 2027 tape, so I’m in the dark as to whether or not Decker has cashed in on an off-season full of promise. I will begin breaking down 2027s after the camp. That being said, it’s great to have the young man in the building, competing alongside fantastic upperclassmen. If we identify you as a top 50 prospect early on, it usually bodes well for the kid in terms of recruitment. Is Decker worthy of early interest? I’d say so. Is he worthy of being an early offer candidate? That I don’t know. Seeing him work under my microscope on Friday night might answer that question. His tape from this past Fall will as well.
Question: A lock for PSAC interest, can he garner more than that?
Ranked inside the PRZ Top 250, can Damien Morgan Damien Morgan 5’11” | 170 lbs | WR Archbishop Ryan | 2025 State PA prove to the PRZ writers in attendance that he’s worthy of Division One attention? Production and tape have always been a plus, you can count on Morgan to help Archbishop Ryan succeed on offense. The young man is a lock for County/League accolades with each passing year, I imagine he’s going to land on many PSAC boards, especially those PSAC programs out East with the PCL being in their backyard. Can Morgan break into the next tier of wideouts? Ranked at 225/15, he’s on the cusp of that. Seeing Morgan run, seeing him work against other elite talent at this event could help us figure out the answer to this one. The young man’s a stud either way.

Question: Will he be the best tester/athlete in the building?
There won’t be many other prospects in the building who outrank Farrell’s Julius Phillips Jr Julius Phillips Jr 6’0″ | 180 lbs | ATH Farrell area school | 2025 State PA . With that being said, will he prove to be the best ATH in attendance? Will he outperform every WR/DB in terms of testing? Will he make kids look silly, is he capable of dominating this camp like former Farrell and current Slippery Rock standout Kylon Wilson did three camps ago? Certainly, Phillips is capable, we just want to see it happen. I want to see the young man prove to everyone in the building that he’s the best two-way prospect in attendance. I could see it happening, he’s a real Camp MVP candidate.
