A large group of offensive and defensive linemen were added to the Kansas Class of 2024 rankings in January.

Here is a look at a group of warriors in the trenches hoping to extend their playing careers past high school. All of these linemen are ranked in the Top 275 overall and only one has committed to play college football to my knowledge.

[player_tooltip player_id='1107719' first='Josh' last='Grimm'], OL, 6'5”, 315, Sabetha

Sabetha has two Grimm brothers who were major factors in the trenches. I first saw Josh and Jacon Grimm at the Ottawa Mega Camp last spring. Both of the Grimm brothers can play on either side of the ball and entered the rankings in the January update. Josh is just a bit bigger than his brother and can be a run-stopping defensive lineman or a pass-protecting tackle. He enters the ranking at No. 197.

[player_tooltip player_id='1119601' first='Damarion' last='Greenburk'], OL, 6'2”, 315, Olathe East, (William Woods)

Greenburk is a mountain of a man who enters the rankings at No. 214. He played tackle for the Hawks. He has a nice first step and makes a quick first blow. He has committed to play for William Woods University.

[player_tooltip player_id='1103628' first='Aiden' last='Miller'], DL, 6'2”, 205, Seaman

Miller is a salty defensive end that I saw play in person last fall. He fights off double teams well and has good tackling technique. He can play guard on the O-line or rush the passer as a defensive end. He enters the rankings at No. 233.

[player_tooltip player_id='1103755' first='David' last='Coffey'], DL, 6'3”, 200, Maize

Coffey is ranked No. 237. The Maize defensive lineman is tougher than a two-dollar steak. He finished his senior season with 77 total tackles, eight of which were for lost yardage.

[player_tooltip player_id='1103635' first='Scotty' last='Cary'], DL, 6'3”, 230, Junction City

Cary was impressive when I saw him play this year. He can disrupt a backfield with his speed or eat up space against the run. The Junction City prospect enters the rankings at No. 238 and has at least one offer from an NAIA program.

[player_tooltip player_id='1103756' first='Will' last='Linenberger'], OL, 6'1”, 270, Hays

Linenberger can play all three positions on the offensive line. He is best suited for center or guard. I like his ability to pull. He enters the rankings at No. 241 and has been recruited by DII and NAIA programs, but has yet to commit.

[player_tooltip player_id='908400' first='Caeleb' last='Taylor'], DL, 6'4”, 205, Olathe North

Taylor has biceps you can bounce bricks off of. He enters the 2024 ranking at No. 242. He has a nice combination of size and speed. Taylor finished with 35 total tackles and three quarterback sacks during his senior season. He has at least one NAIA offer and has visited larger schools.

[player_tooltip player_id='1107720' first='Jacob' last='Grimm'], DL, 6'4”, 285, Sabetha

Grimm is a step or two quicker than his brother Josh. He has offers from DII, NAIA, and JUCO programs in the state. I would love to see him and his brother sign with the same program, but you never know. He is ranked No. 253 overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1105840' first='Daylee' last='Vansyckle'], OL, 6'4”, 205, Hutchinson

Vansyckle can play tackle or tight end. I think his future is a run-blocking tight end, who can sneak out in play action and make a couple of big catches each game. The Salthawk prospect enters the rankings at No. 271. He has multiple offers from in-state NAIA programs.
