Continue ReadingHenderson excels on film as a run blocker. His footwork is solid, he has plus strength and always drives his feet through contact.
He plays guard for Serra and they use him as a puller often where he shows good body control for a guy his size. His head and hips are always between the defender and the ball carrier.
As a pass blocker, he uses his strength to leverage smaller defenders but could work on his hand placement. There were a few plays on film where he didn’t replace his hands quickly and it could have resulted in holding flags.
Henderson has offers from Fresno State, Morgan State and San Diego State among others. He projects as a tackle at the next level but I like him on the interior.
Daxton Christman-Gourley Daxton Christman-Gourley 6’6″ | 260 lbs | OL Mission Viejo | 2024 State CA played left tackle for a very good Mission Viejo team before suffering an injury late in the season.
He is very good as a pass blocker. Gourley gets depth on his first step and always gets his arms extended on the defender. His feet are quick enough to adapt to speedy defensive ends.
Gourley holds offers from Northern Arizona, San Diego State and Colorado State.
Rodriguez is one of the most physical offensive linemen in the class. Half of his film is him driving defenders 20 yards down the field.
He’s a good run blocker who is athletic enough to pull effectively. He bullies people with his hands and has a motor.
His pass blocking is fine on film but he is rarely challenged by a quality pass rusher. But he has the strength and tools to play at the college level.
Rodriguez has offers from Alabama State, Morgan State and Northern Arizona.
Tava is a big guy and uses his size to his advantage on film. As a run blocker, he has solid body control and gets between the ball carrier and the defender.
In pass protection, he is good with his hands and always gets extension on the defender. When defenders try to go inside on him, he uses his strength to bury them into the interior of the line.
Tava could work a bit on his speed and getting to the second level. He has lower level offers from Black Hills State, Benedictine college, Lincoln University and Lewis and Clark.
Porotesano is one of the more aggressive players I’ve seen on film recently. He drives guys into the ground constantly and might have a future in Judo if football doesn’t pan out.
I like him in the running game because he’s athletic enough to get to the second level and be in the right positions with his hips. Oceanside plays him at tackle and sometimes pulls him and he does a good job.
As a pass blocker he is solid and uses that inside arm to throw guys sometimes. He will have to find ways to adapt at the college level when he can’t bully guys as often, but he has a good foundation and understands the position.
Porotesano has 11 offers with Cal Poly being the most recent to offer him.
