Continue ReadingCade Cooper Cade Cooper 6’2″ | 175 lbs | WR Malvern Prep | 2027 State PA is a talented wide receiver. In a limited film from last year you can see he is a talented player. Cooper shows good athleticism and speed at the receiver position. He shows that he can catch the ball well in traffic and separate from defenders. Cooper is also good after the catch and making people miss in space. Cooper should be a bigger contributor next year for Malvern Prep and I expect a big year from him.
Carter Bonner Carter Bonner 6’2″ | 185 lbs | WR Imani Christrian Academy | 2027 State PA is a big and exciting athlete. He played both wide receiver and safety for Shady Side Academy last year. At wide receiver, he is a dynamic receiver that you can move all over the field. He is equally as good at slot receiver as he is an outside receiver. At both positions, he catches the ball well in traffic and is very good after the catch. He is hard to contain one-on-one. At safety, he covers a lot of ground and constantly makes plays all over the field. He had several interceptions last year. Bonner had a strong Freshman year and should only improve going into next season.
Kaleem Taylor Kaleem Taylor 6’2″ | 190 lbs | WR Johnstown | 2027 State PA has limited film, but what I saw showed a dynamic athlete. He is a big physical player who shows a good catch radius. When the ball is thrown in his direction he usually comes down with the ball. Taylor is also good after the catch and makes defenders miss. Taylor should only improve going into his Sophomore season.
Javien Robinson Javien Robinson 6’1″ | 175 lbs | WR McKeesport | 2027 State PA is a dynamic athlete who had a good Freshman year for McKeesport. He had one clip from his film where he out-jumped 2 defenders for a touchdown reception in the end zone. He made several circus-like catches. Robinson is also good after the catch and making people miss in space. He is a good athlete with excellent body control. The sky’s the limit for Robinson going forward.
Arnold Mugerwa Arnold Mugerwa 6’2″ | 175 lbs | WR Richland | 2027 State PA had a strong freshman year for Richland. Mugerwa is a big play machine. He can score in many different ways as a wide receiver. He is super explosive after he catches the ball. When Mugerwa gets into the open field, he runs by defenders. He is equally as good as a slot receiver as he is as an outside receiver. Mugerwa also has good hands and catches the ball well in traffic. He is a talented player who should get even better next season.
Jaylen Stanfordsx Jaylen Stanfordsx 6’0″ | 165 lbs | WR Westinghouse | 2027 PA has limited film at wide receiver but flashed some good skills. He only had a few catches, but in one of them, he took a slant and ran it for a big touchdown reception. He did get a lot more playing time on defense and flashed good skills at strong safety by playing in the box. He was good at providing run support and dropping into coverage. Stanford is a good player who should continue to get more playing time going forward.
