On a squad of household names (the Binkowski brothers, Braden Boggs) he has shown great poise and moxie under center for the Bobcats. He is a mean force at guard for the Lions and his footwork is picture perfect, you can see the fear defenders have when he is coming around for a kick out block. He is one of the stronger linemen in the conference and is pain to try and hold up on the defensive line. He see's the field really well and does not just check off on his first read. The Hayfield Hawks made a late season charge winning their last 3 regular season games to sneak into the District playoffs and Keeney's improved play had a lot to do with their turnaround.
