Every December, the Prep RedZone Fab 50 team forms the most exclusive all-state team in all of South Carolina.

Those 50 spots are hard earned, and no one is presumed to have made it, even if they did the previous season. And since most of the Fab 50 picks have historically been seniors, there's a safe bet it will happen again.

So, which guys have a good chance?

These 20 might be a good place to start. We've included the nine who made the cut last fall and 11 additional Class of 2025s and even a dark horse of sorts.

2023 Fab 50 Selections From This Class

[player_tooltip player_id='464892' first='Justin' last='Welch'] K, Dutch Fork (pictured)

[player_tooltip player_id='272716' first='Andon' last='Hawkins'] LB, Midland Valley

[player_tooltip player_id='390438' first='Ramani' last='Bruton'] DB, Greenville

[player_tooltip player_id='272699' first='Da'Marion' last='Coe'] DB, Hartsville

[player_tooltip player_id='346193' first='Zeke' last='Marshall'] DB, Westside

[player_tooltip player_id='1012637' first='Jackson' last='Repp'] WR, Christ Church

[player_tooltip player_id='272713' first='AJ' last='Brand'] QB, Irmo

[player_tooltip player_id='346189' first='Cutter' last='Woods'] QB, Westside

[player_tooltip player_id='605525' first='Marquise' last='Henderson'] RB, Belton-Honea Path

Additional 2025s Who Should Be In The Mix

[player_tooltip player_id='272698' first='Will' last='Wilson'] QB, Richland Northeast

Wilson might ultimately be the biggest quarterback signee in a class full of quarterbacks. He's a huge threat with his arm and legs and is coming off a season in which he put up great numbers. RNE will probably need to make a playoff run to get his numbers up some, but with him at the helm, it's entirely possible.

[player_tooltip player_id='272702' first='Jevon' last='Edwards'] RB, South Aiken

All Edwards has done over the course of his South Aiken career is put up three 1,000-yard seasons, average 7.6 yards per carry and rush for 50 touchdowns. Now, factor in that he spent those three seasons sharing the backfield with [player_tooltip player_id='340388' first='Terrence' last='Smith'] and all of a sudden Edwards is looking at even more carries now that Smith has run out of eligibility.

[player_tooltip player_id='605527' first='Jaquel' last='Holman'] RB, Blackville-Hilda

Holman is in the conversation for most effective transfers from two seasons ago to last season. After moving over to Blackville-Hilda, he piled up 1,610 yards on the ground and reached the end zone 28 times (26 rushing, two receiving) while simultaneously putting up 76 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, forcing three fumbles and picking off a pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157743' first='KD' last='Patterson'] RB, TL Hanna

Patterson might not be the King of Anderson, but he's not far off. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound tailback finished his junior season with 1,682 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns. Patterson nearly lifted TL Hanna past Dutch Fork in the second round by rushing for 215 yards and two scores before a last-minute field goal shifted the Class 5A playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='346200' first='Rocky' last='Herd'] OL, Daniel

While everyone's eyes were firmly planted on Daniel's crazy scores, a state championship run or even Mr. Football finalist [player_tooltip player_id='1142430' first='Watson' last='Young'], Herd was busy putting together a pretty dominant run of his own, too. Playing primarily right tackles, Herd overcame a significant upper body injury and helped ensure that the Lions' line was just as ferocious as ever.

[player_tooltip player_id='1013073' first='Jaquavious' last='Dodd'] DL, Eastside

Having seen Dodd up close, we imagine even some pretty good sized tackles aren't too thrilled to see him put his hand in the dirt. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound edge rusher has obvious length. But where he catches opponents off guard is with his quick first three steps or his ability to change directions will in pursuit. It's why he had so many tackles for loss last fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='205794' first='Brock' last='Feinberg'] LB/TE, Wando

The jury is still out on how Feinberg will be utilized under a new coaching staff. For the time being, we're leaving him listed as a tight end. But his experience, size and strength make him a natural leader on the defensive side of the ball who could serve as a rallying point for a team looking to make significant headway in the wins column. If that happens, Feinberg will likely be a big reason why.

[player_tooltip player_id='272703' first='James' last='Herbert'] LB, Trinity Collegiate

Herbert had 101 total tackles and 18 tackles for loss as a junior, and while not all of Trinity's competition is sky high, there's no doubt in our minds that the big tight end would hold his own on a higher level, too. We're not the only ones. He's getting some pretty hefty college interest because his 6-foot-4 frame isn't something that comes along at the linebacker position often.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157893' first='Jordan' last='Crim'] DB, Camden

Crim's 200 receiving yards and three touchdowns were a likely indication that he'll get more reps at receiver next year now that the team's top two pass catchers are graduating. But that's all icing on the cade. The defensive has 181 career tackles and five career interceptions, four of which came this fall. Crim is a natural corner who has the ability to cover just about any receiver in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1012611' first='Fred' last='Reese'] DB, South Pointe

Reese is on the cusp of being an elite dual-threat defensive back capable to playing both corner and safety interchangeably. He's got a serious knack for being around the ball and has made some plays that make it appear as if he's got eyes in the back of his head. Reese is going to be tested against some huge arms and receiving talent already on the schedule, and he could propel himself even further up the ladder.

Dark Horse Selection To Keep An Eye On

[player_tooltip player_id='464881' first='Jayden' last='Sellers'] WR, South Florence

Calling a receiver who has multiple Power 5 offers and whose team has been to the state championship in back-to-back seasons a dark horse might seem like a stretch. But Sellers is coming off a season-ending knee injury and also plays for a team that just recognized how good it could be by going all in on the run. Sellers is reason enough for Drew Marlowe to go back to his spread offense, and we're going to know right away how ready Sellers is.
