Several new players joined the rankings this month including two offensive weapons from Sedgwick High School.

Here is a look at 10 players who joined the rankings all who debut in the Top 50 after impressive junior seasons for their respective high schools.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115477' first='Dawson' last='Merritt'], LB, 6'3”, 205, Blue Valley

Merritt is the highest newly-ranked athlete making his debut at No. 11. The junior backer finished with 83 total tackles for Blue Valley. He is fast and can disrupt a backfield. Merritt finished with 17 tackles for loss, and seven quarterback sacks while forcing three fumbles and recovering two. He has at least 19 Division I offers including offers from multiple Big 10, ACC, SEC, and Big 12 programs including Kansas State and Kansas.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115460' first='Parker' last='Lindman'], DB, 6'3”, 175, Blue Valley Southwest

Lindman is an interesting prospect and the highest-ranked new defensive back entering the ranking in the No. 16 slot. The Timberwolf prospect parlayed his six-interception season into a spot in the rankings. Any DB who finishes with that high of many turnovers is worthy of a look by college coaches. He received multiple postseason accolades and is also a collegiate prospect in Lacrosse and Track and Field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115487' first='Max' last='Armstrong'], LB/RB, 5'10”, 190, Olathe South

Armstrong had one of the most impressive seasons as a rare two-way player at a big school. He rushed for 1,004 yards and scored 7 touchdowns carrying the ball for the Falcons. Defensively he recorded 69 total tackles. The numbers earned him a debut spot at No. 19. He will need a big senior season to remain in the Top 20.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115450' first='Erick' last='Jons'], OL, 6'6”, 285, Basehor-Linwood

I saw Jons play in person this season and he debuts at No. 20. No one can ignore the 6-foot-6, 285 lb., frame of this big lineman. Basehor-Linwood is a factory for college football players and Jons hopes to be next in a long line. He will only get stronger and faster if he puts in the work. He should have DI and DII programs recruiting him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115502' first='Wyatt' last='Kirkpatrick'], LB, 6'2”, 215, Hays

Hays has a junior linebacker who should garner lots of attention from college scouts. He is ranked No. 24 after finishing up a season with 104 total tackles and 10 TFLs. He had one quarterback sack and two interceptions. He is quick for his size and can also long snap.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115496' first='Andrew' last='Stotler'], LB, 5'8”, 185, Maize

Stotler is the second in a long line of linebackers as we look at new players joining the rankings. The Maize backer debuts ranked at No. 26. He finished with 120 total tackles during his junior season, and 14 of those tackles resulted in lost yardage. He forced two fumbles and collected four quarterback sacks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115499' first='Carter' last='Wilmarth'], LB, 6'1”, 215, Wellsville

The Wellsville Eagles have had big offensive seasons the past two years and Wilmarth debuting at No. 29 helps the Wellsville backs gain yards and gets them the ball back from his linebacking position. He plays both ways, but I would argue that he has a bigger ceiling at linebacker. If I were a college coach and I needed a quick guard I would not hesitate to recruit him, sit him down in front of a stack of pancakes and the bench press. He finished his junior season with 97 tackles, nine of which resulted in lost yardage.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115716' first='Abram' last='Keim'], LB, 6'0”, 175, Nemaha Central

So Keim is one of my favorite types of players. He is tough as nails, plays linebacker, wrestles, and plays catcher on the baseball diamond. Is does not get in grittier than that. The only thing tougher would be if he wrestled gators and bears instead of mat wrestlers. The Thunder linebacker was among the state leaders in tackles with 140 in 13 games. He debuts in the No. 32 slot, and I hope I get to see him in person at a camp this spring or in a game next fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115498' first='Scott' last='Moore'], LB, 6'5”, 235, Girard

Moore is ranked as high as he is based on his size and the ability to improve over the spring. At 6-foot-5 he towers over his Trojan teammates. He can play linebacker or tight end. I can see him moving to the D-line and serving as an edge rusher. The three-sport athlete is ranked No. 33. He is a player who could move either way in the rankings depending on which sport he gets recruited more heavily.

[player_tooltip player_id='1112380' first='Corey' last='Crumrine'], QB, 5'9”, 155, Sedgwick

Crumrine is another multiple sport prospect and one who could get overlooked based on the size of his school. The Cardinals in recent years have been developing college quarterbacks, so don't be surprised if he does end up at an FCS or DII program. Crumrine is ranked No. 38 after throwing for 3,148 yards and 34 touchdowns in 10 games. He also utilities his arm on top of a pitcher's mound, and if he throws as well as I think he does, he could pitch down the road at Eck Stadium.

[player_tooltip player_id='1115726' first='Dallas' last='Lagree'], WR, 5'10”, 150, Sedgwick

Entering the rankings one spot behind Crumrine is a Sedgwick teammate Lagree. Ranked at No. 39, Lagree is a two-way prospect who could be recruited to play receiver or defensive back. He made 68 total tackles and picked off four pass attempts. On the offensive side of the ball, he collected 63 receptions for 856 yards. He scored seven touchdowns during his junior season.
