Football season in the Buckeye state has come to a close and man was it a fun one! Today, I'm looking at some of the top 2027 prospects that stood out throughout the fall. Some of these young men have already picked up offers, while others are still awaiting their first scholarship. With three years of high school eligibility remaining, these guys are only going to get better and should see a jump in their recruitment.

As always, If you have someone you think I need to see, please DM them to me on Twitter at @hsfbscout!

ATH: Dawaun Moody, Liberty

A gifted two-way player who is an electric return man with vision, change of direction, shake, and the wheels to split two defenders.

RB: Ian Gordon, Westerville South

A smaller back who does his best work on off-tackle runs and shows an uncanny amount of power for a back his size.

DB: Monsanna Torbert, Taft

A technician at both cornerback and safety, equipped with anticipation, clean footwork, and natural ball skills.

RB: [player_tooltip player_id='552747' first='Brayton' last='Feister'], Archbishop Hoban

Feister is built more like a senior, he runs angry and has the wiggle & balance to make something happen in the open field.

DB: [player_tooltip player_id='1317505' first='Darius' last='Dennis'], Trotwood-Madison

Dennis to me is more like a hybrid, he could play both safety or outside linebacker. He can flip his hips & run with #2 up the seam, he plays aggressive and always seems to be around the football.

WR: Charlie Mallet, Hawken

Mallett is a natural hands catcher that looks to get vertical following a reception, he's got deceptive speed and can separate at the top of his routes.

EDGE: [player_tooltip player_id='481435' first='Jaylen' last='Mercer'] Country Day

An impressive frame for a young prospect to go along with a fierce bullrush, the ability to quickly detach from blocks, and a high motor.

OLB: Antwoine Higgins, Anderson

Higgins has exceptional closing speed, he's slippery at the point of attack, and can dip & rip around the corner. He may project as an edge at the next level.

RB: [player_tooltip player_id='707407' first='Isaiah' last='Garrett'] Winton Woods

A tough north and south runner who will lower his shoulder and accelerate through anticipated contact with no hesitation.

WR: Jamier Brown, Wayne

A speedster with the ability to track the deep ball over the shoulder, he's shifty with the ball in his hands and has a penchant for generating explosive plays.

DB: Ace Alston, Anderson

Ace is a natural at identifying route concepts, he's a willing tackler in run support and breaks through targets in man coverage shooting his hand rather than stabbing at the football.

QB: [player_tooltip player_id='445341' first='Jackson' last='Smith'] Lakota West

A confident pocket passer who throws with timing, anticipation and can get the ball out from awkward platforms.
