Continue ReadingThe Stock Up Showcase was a huge success. Being able to get eyes on a plethora of players and evaluate is always a great time. By now, you have read a ton of articles about standouts, risers, and hidden gems. I wanted to shed a light on players who are flying under the radar, but make statements from their play. Time to dive into the analysis
Absher measured in at 6’0 184 pounds. Man can he move. He ran a 4.7 40 yard dash, 4.5 shuttle time, and a broad jump of 8’1″. Caden demonstrated his good athletic ability during the drills. Showed good speed, acceleration and change of direction. Absher showed good competitive toughness. He has a high motor and a tenacity to him. He has some great off ball LB skills. Understands routs and is always at the right place at the right time. He’s got good vision, and was making plays throughout drills and 1 on 1s. He’s a good tackler, and wraps up offensive players with ease. Absher is a name to watch out, and more eyes should be on this kid.

Tackitt is an elusive back, and his skills were on full display throughout the event. Tackitt measured in a 5’9″ 160 pounds. His combine stats are as follows: 4.92 40 yard time, 4.41 shuttle time, and a 8’8″ broad jump. Tackitt has a good athletic ability due to very good change of direction, good speed and acceleration. He showed off his shifty feet during the drills, and man can those feet dance! He’s more of an elusive back, but I’ve seen he’ll get his hands dirty and be physical when needed. I’m excited to watch him grow as a player.

With a lot of WRs and DBs at the event, Olson stood out especially in 1 on 1s. Ty measured in at 6’2″ 181 pounds. His combine stats are as follow: 4.9 40 yard time, 4.47 shuttle time, and a 9’0″ broad jump. Olson has good athletic ability due to good speed, acceleration and change of direction. In the 1 on 1s is where Olson caught my eye. He was consistently catching what was thrown his way, and made it look easy. Demonstrated good hands and good ball tracking. Natural catcher, and was fluid throughout the catch. Good body control when completing the catch. I hadn’t heard of Olson before this, but his play put him on my radar. A name to watch out for.
Another great RB at the showcase. I had the privilege to watch him play against Eaglecrest during their homecoming game, and this kid can ball! He measure in at 5’9″ 165 pounds. Combine stats: 4.68 40 yard time, 4.41 shuttle time, and a 9’3″ broad jump. Tucker has all the qualities a team would want from a #1 back. He has a very good athletic ability, thanks to his very good speed, acceleration, and good change of direction. He’s a physical back as well, and will run through defenders with ease. Good catching out of the backfield. Tucker is an all around back that any team would be fortunate to have. I’m sure he’ll make a splash in his senior year.
Rogelstad balled out at the showcase. He measured in at 6’1 175 pounds and clocked the 2nd best 4o time at the event. Here are his combine, stats: 4.6 40 yard time and a 8’11” broad jump. Rogelstad has a very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration and change of direction. Good mental processing and trusts his instincts. Physical with offensive players and makes his presence known. Rogelstad was making statements during the 1 on 1s and impressed during drills. Good in zone coverage, and will glue to the WR in man. Great all around performance, and another name to watch out for.
