I wasn’t able to attend the PRZ IL Showcase this past Sunday, but I have the results from the event. So, let’s go through and picked out some athletes who stand out from the crowd with their numbers. We wills tart by listing the numbers, and then turn to the tape to see if the impressive numbers translate to the field. It is a big group of athletes, so let’s start digging!

Big fan of what Trycen shows on tape. He has a well developing frame that has budding athleticism. The safety has solid speed, but plays even faster because of his quick read and recognition skills while reading the QB. Bownes short area burst also stands out on tape as he bursts out of direction changes and closes very quickly. The explosive broad jump and shuttle time great illustrate those traits.

Liam is an intriguing prospect. I love that he wanted to come out and compete. For his size, the junior tested out well for the IOL position. Switching to the tape, Carney has a powerful side to his game that the numbers don’t show. He has heavy hands, can move his IDL off the line or wash him away from the play. The short area burst comes in clutch when he needs to get up to the second level. Carney has a well balanced skill set between power and athleticism. Keep an eye on him.

The junior clearly has the frame to build on. Petar is quick is short areas as he goes from block to block or attacks the second level of the defense. Strbac also has the power to create positive movement in the trenches. The film shows the size and power. The testing matches the short area agility for such a big man.

The tape makes it clear that Vaughn is a dangerous dual threat QB, especially on the ground. The big play threat has next level speed with that 4.68 40 yard dash and can make defenders miss in space with his short area agility and acceleration. As a passer, Noah wins with touch and accuracy. His highlights have plenty of examples of him dropping a deep pass right in a bucket for his WR to catch. Keep an eye on Noah during the summer camp circuit and next fall.

The testing results illustrate an RB with the size, speed, and burst to play at the next level. Turn on the tape and it is even more impressive than the numbers. Gist also brings vision, instincts, and decisiveness to the field. Zion finds blocks and seams quickly and attacks them between the tackles and out in space. The long speed translates as he rips off big play after big play while beating pursuit angles. Zion is clearly an explosive back. Get him on your radar now.

Teams looking for a big presence out wide need to check out Keaton Reinke Keaton Reinke 6’3″ | 190 lbs | WR St. Charles North | 2026 State IL . He is only a sophomore, but already looks the part of a next level WR. Keaton only got to play two games this year due to injury, but the traits still show up on tape. He has the big catch radius and soft hands. Reinke will go up and attack the ball. He also has the body control and balance to win along the sideline. The long striding WR eats up DB cushions as he takes the top off the defense. Big things are ahead for Keaton. Make sure you have him on your radars.

Another athlete who put on a great display of his athletic dominance was junior DeAndre Coates DeAndre Coates 6’2″ | 180 lbs | WR Lincoln Way-West | 2025 IL . The WR carved up defenses with smooth route running and slippery running after the catch. Coates’ body control and balance are so strong that it looks effortless while he runs through his routes. That opens up separation for his QB to target. Coates also has excellent hands to make the difficult catches look easy. This is another rising athlete among the Class of 2025.
