has a lot of length at the center position, standing at 6’5″. His rare length at the center position allows him to use his long levers to create separation from defenders. Carney is a good athlete on the offensive line; he moves really well in space, displaying quick feet. His size and athleticism provide a lot of versatility that could project him at multiple positions at the next level as well.

Liam is an intriguing prospect. I love that he wanted to come out and compete. For his size, the junior tested out well for the IOL position. Switching to the tape, Carney has a powerful side to his game that the numbers don’t show. He has heavy hands, can move his IDL off the line or wash him away from the play. The short area burst comes in clutch when he needs to get up to the second level. Carney has a well balanced skill set between power and athleticism. Keep an eye on him.

is a three-sport standout and used his good size to help contribute to the Bulldogs varsity OL in 2022. As an offensive center, Carney has good leg drive once he’s engaged with an opponent can really move a defender out of their gap, and possesses a nonstop motor, and has a long and still-lean frame that can add a ton more good weight over the next two years and beyond.
