It may have taken seven parts to fit them all in, but that should be a great sign that football talent in Minnesota and Wisconsin keeps getting better as you will see a ton of these athletes over the coming year or so show why they are next-level material with their development. We close out our time in Brooklyn Park with my final three prospects that stood out at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase.
Spencer Ackerman Spencer Ackerman 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Sauk Rapids - Rice | 2026 MN , QB, Sauk Rapids-Rice (2026) Twitter
Another prospect that popped out of Sauk Rapids-Rice was 2026 quarterback Spencer Ackerman Spencer Ackerman 5'11" | 170 lbs | QB Sauk Rapids - Rice | 2026 MN . I didn’t get to watch Spencer as much as would have liked to, but I liked what I saw out of his release point as he showed off fluid throwing mechanics. This also correlated to his arm strength, in which Spencer passed my eye test with his touch throws he made last Sunday in Brooklyn Park. The quick release Spencer showed off also gave off the poise this young man has at his disposal. Another St. Cloud Area prospect to watch over the coming years as this group of Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm prospects at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase was very deep.
Carter Pontius Carter Pontius 6'5" | 200 lbs | WR West Salem | 2025 State WI , WR, West Salem, WI (2025) Twitter
Carter is a prospect that I believe has now been covered by each of our Midwest scouts in attendance, which if that is not a sign of a next-level prospect, I don’t know what as that rarely happens at our showcases. I loved the catch radius this 6’5 195 WR prospect from West Salem brought to the table, as Carter showed off his dexterity in my eyes to make some tough catches in Indy and 1v1s in high-traffic areas. Not only was he impressive later in Indy and 1v1s, but at the size I mentioned Karter ran a 4.75 40 yard dash which is certainly going to pop out to the college coaches that get our testing numbers especially at the D1 and D2 levels. Carter is certainly a 2025 wide receiver on the rise after his showing in Brooklyn Park.
Aijhon Douglas Aijhon Douglas 5'8" | 150 lbs | ATH St. Paul Harding/Humboldt | 2025 State MN , WR/ATH, St. Paul Harding-Humboldt (2025) Twitter
A prospect that impressed me numerous times at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase was St. Paul Harding-Humboldt 2025 wide receiver Aijhon Douglas Aijhon Douglas 5'8" | 150 lbs | ATH St. Paul Harding/Humboldt | 2025 State MN . As we got into 1v1s, we saw all the explosiveness Aijhon has at his disposal come all the way out. He showed tons of twitchy change of direction with his route-running and has another gear that he plays with once it’s time for him to shine in the open field. Aijhon might have the most springiest athletic movement I have seen from a 5’9 and under prospect I have covered in the Midwest with Prep Redzone and that sets a high bar of prospects I have covered. A certified playmaker that is our #6 athlete in the state of Minnesota, but I am sure he is going to rise after his showing at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase.
