Continue ReadingBROOKLYN PARK, MN– Part III has been released from my top list of standouts at the Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase from last Sunday before the holiday. With this list, we have three classes represented in 2026, 2025, and 2024s that shined out very well in the wide receiver group. Let us have a look at a sound list in my eyes of next level talent college coaches will want to know.
Kaden Harney Kaden Harney 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Maple Grove | 2026 State MN , QB, Maple Grove (MN) 2026 Twitter
I always enjoy when underclassmen show off instincts like they are older than they are, as that was the case with Maple Grove 2026 quarterback Kaden Harney Kaden Harney 6'3" | 185 lbs | QB Maple Grove | 2026 State MN at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase. He impressed me in the early drills with his long-striding flexibility from my early eye test from Brooklyn Park. Kaden showed off excellent poise when I watched him in Indy Drills last Sunday as one that in my eyes was one of the top 2026 QBs in the building in Brooklyn Park. Kaden also showed off his intriguing arm strength, as I can tell this young man is putting in the work already from his 2023 season showing more zip on his throws than what his sophomore tape shows off. Kaden is a 6’3 180 pound quarterback that throws with plenty of balanced skillsets that I want from the QB position if I were a college coach and looks like another scholarship-level quarterback from the hotbed that is the Maple Grove Crimson.
Graysen Schneider Graysen Schneider 6'2" | 240 lbs | DL Stewartville | 2025 State MN , DL, Stewartville (MN) 2025 Twitter
A Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase seasoned veteran by now, I continued to be impressed showcase after showcase by Stewartville’s 2025 defensive linemen Graysen Schneider Graysen Schneider 6'2" | 240 lbs | DL Stewartville | 2025 State MN . Graysen’s has certainly taken his skills in the weight room up a handful of notches, but yet the persistent athletic mobility this young man has continues to stick like glue to his skillsets he offers. Where I saw Graysen grow this time was with the physicality of his hands, as there’s no question he’s always had finesse in his mitts, but the notch he took them up next-Sunday is what I wanted to see grow from an evaluation standpoint. I also like how quick Graysen can pick up new techniques from what I witnessed on Sunday as Graysen showed off the pure football IQ in one particular rep from coaching that Division I schools should easily pay attention to in the coming months. Graysen is certainly a next-level prospect you build a locker room around with his outstanding character.
Hudson Maynard Hudson Maynard 6'1" | 170 lbs | ATH Andover | 2025 State MN , QB, Andover (MN) 2025 Twitter
Hudson was an early pop-out that showed off the dexterity he had within his 6’1 185 pound frame from my first look at the Andover 2025 quarterback at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase. Later into the showcase, I got a glimpse of Hudson again as he showed off his quick release and developed speed of his decision-making which I thought has escalated well since last watching his tape recently before our showcase. I believe continuing to improve his reps on intermediate and deep routes is going to amplify this young man as a more steady three-level thrower that has some ceiling to develop this offseason before college camps arise in the next 5-7 months.
Marcus Lomanga Marcus Lomanga 6'2" | 215 lbs | ATH Bloomington Jefferson | 2024 State MN , WR, Bloomington Jefferson (MN) 2024 Twitter
I was quite impressed with the 2024 wide receivers that arose to the occasion with one being Bloomington Jefferson’s Marcus Lomanga Marcus Lomanga 6'2" | 215 lbs | ATH Bloomington Jefferson | 2024 State MN . Marcus showed off the length I wanted to see and it started with his early testing in which in front of my eyes he logged a 9’4 broad jump. He also was impressive with the length of the strides this senior hidden gem offered up, as Marcus showed off well-versed athleticism with his ball-tracking ability and had sound vision with the ball in the air. I am quite surprised how under the radar Marcus is from an offers standpoint, as this young man should be a late bloomer this winter in that regard.
Juriad Hughes Juriad Hughes 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Irondale | 2024 State MN , WR, Irondale (MN) 2024 Twitter
Speaking of our other 2024 WR, we meet our WR MVP in Irondale’s Juriad Hughes Juriad Hughes 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR Irondale | 2024 State MN who was exceptional in almost every station of testing, Indy drills, and 1v1s I watched him at. He showed off one of the twitchiest wide receivers at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase and from my eyes with all the instinctive athletic movement looked like a man amongst boys in some of the reps I witnessed. Juriad was also impressive during our Minnesota Showcase with the fluidity he had with his route-running, as I thought he was the most finished route-runner from start to finish that we saw amongst the wide receiver group in Brooklyn Park. It’s no surprise in these eyes, though has Juriad’s more than impressive track background shows off as one of the 2024 classes top remaining wide receivers in the Midwest in all our Minnesota scouts eyes.
Caden Johnson Caden Johnson 6'2" | 240 lbs | TE Princeton | 2025 State MN , TE/LB, Princeton (MN) 2025
Yet another Princeton Tigers 2025 cracked our list from Sunday, and it’s a familiar one for me as Caden Johnson Caden Johnson 6'2" | 240 lbs | TE Princeton | 2025 State MN had a huge showing for the Tigers during the season against Willmar and another well-noted one at our Prep Redzone Minnesota Showcase. From what I witnessed, I thought Caden showed more explosiveness off the top of his routes than what I saw during the early fall season which was a great season to see on the offensive side of the ball. I also thought the growth of Caden and his nimbleness on the routes I watched showed off growing athleticism which should continue to grow this offseason. I have a gut feeling, college coaches are going to really like what Caden brings to the table at camps this summer as they also have some decisions to make with his position flexibility at the next level.
