Florida
Zachary “Zac” Katz (True North Titans)
The 6’1 194 Freshman passed for 2973 yards with 38 TDs in leading the Titans to a 9-3 record and into the 2nd Round of the playoffs. Katz is comfortable in the pocket and has good touch on the long pass at 50+ yards. He has a quick release and the arm strength to zip passes on the slants and to the outside. Only threw 1 INT in 229 pass attempts this season. All Miami-Dade Co. He has already picked up offers from App. State, Bethune Cookman, Florida International and Western Michigan. We would not be surprised to see this guy pick up some P5 offers next season.
Georgia
Lyndon Worthy Lyndon Worthy 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Worth County | 2027 State GA (Worth County Rams)
The 6’1 155 Freshman passed for 2670 yards with 27 TDs leading the Rams to the 1st Round of the AA playoffs. Lyndon had a season high 409 yards with 6 Tds in a 62-34 win over Berrien in Week 5. Pro Style QB that has good arm strength and touch in the 30 to 40 yard range. He has a speedy receiving core at Worth Co and has the arm strength to get the ball down field so his receivers can run under it. Attempted over 30 passes per game. Definitely a young QB to keep an eye on over the next 3 seasons as he matures physically in the weight room.
Alabama
Gunner Rivers (St. Michael Cardinals)
If the 6’2 175 Freshman’s last name sounds familiar, then you’re not mistaking. Gunner is the son of former NFL great Phillip Rivers and proved this season he inherited those genes. Gunner threw for 3077 yards with 29 Tds leading the Cardinals to a 6-5 record. He passed for a season high 516 yards with 3 TDs in a 1st round playoff loss to Handley, completing 32 of 48 passes. Has all the tools to be an elite QB prospect. Great footwork and release. He has the size and arm strength to make all the throws, good touch on the long pass. P5 national recruit.
South Carolina
Henry Rivers Henry Rivers 5'11" | 160 lbs | QB Berkeley | 2027 State SC (Berkeley Stags)
The 5’11 160 dual threat QB had a phenomenal Freshman season. He rushed and passed for a combined 2900 yards with 33 Tds leading the Stags to the 2nd Rd of the playoffs. He had a season high 330 yards passing with 4 Tds in 52-10 win over Wando in Week 7. Raw QB talent with a good arm and the wheels to keep the defense honest. Clemson already has Rivers on their radar and as this guy matures physically over the next 3 years he will be one to watch from the Palmetto State.
Mississippi
Chase Craft (Heidelberg Oilers)
6’1 180 dual threat QB maybe the best overall athlete on our list. He passed for a little over 1500 yards while rushing for 950 yards with 31 Tds while averaging close to 8 yards per carry. He led the Oilers to an 11-4 record and a Class 2A State runner up with a 26-22 loss to Charleston in the Title game. Rarely comes off the field on Friday night playing DB on defense. Has the vision a football IQ to make a heck of a QB at this level, 2nd Team All State selection. Not sure what position this guy will play at the next level but definitely has D1 potential.
Louisiana
Elijah Haven (Dunham Tigers)
The 6’5 195 Freshman already physically looks the part of big next level recruit. Broke the school record for TD passes this season as a Freshman. Multisport athlete that helped led the Tigers to the Semifinals last year on the hardwood. Outstanding in the classroom carrying a 4.0 GPA. Picked up his first D1 offer in the Spring from Texas Tech. Has the potential to be a National recruit in both football and basketball. Playing his high school ball in the shadows of LSU, don’t be surprised if this young man doesn’t pick up a lot of SEC interest this off season.
