Continue ReadingMenick is an athletic edge rusher who recorded 8 sacks for Churchill this season. Along with those sacks he had a forced fumble and 4 fumble recoveries. You rarely see a prospect playing edge rusher and wide receiver, his athleticism shines bright as he shows body control and speed while lined up at outside receiver. Menick has a good frame to build upon over the offseason, watch for his productivity on both sides of the ball to increase next season after bursting onto the scene this year.
Highlights
Yvan is on the rise and fast, he’s recently landed offers from Penn State, Maryland and Virgini Tech giving him 4 total. This past season he recorded 6.5 sacks, 10 TFL’s, and 46 total tackles. Kemajou shows dominance on both sides of the ball, he’s quick off the ball as an edge rusher, can make his own gap when playing defensive tackle and is a bulldozer offensively.
West is a familiar name and is emerging as one of the best DB’s in the class of 2025 in the state. Most recently West landed an offer from the University of Pittsburg giving him a total of 7 power five offers. This season Aydan showed that he can make an impact anywhere in the defensive backfield. He had a few interceptions from both cornerback and safety positions. This is Aydan’s second year in a row making the all-county team, expect him to have an even more impressive senior season, he has been consistently improving since hitting the scene in 2021.
Jones currently holds 2 offers from Central Connecticut and Long Island University which he landed back in October, after evaluation be prepared to see a few more programs take interest in Rahmise. He’s a deep ball threat with above average contested catch ability and good size at 6’2. His traits are valuable, he doesn’t have to be wide open, he just needs a step or two and good ball placement. Jones can high point the ball in a crowd and catch through contact, his skills could be the difference in a tough matchup where creating space is an issue. This past season Rahmise had over 700 yards receiving on 46 receptions with 5 touchdowns. With Northwest losing a key weapon in senior Tony Berry, look for Jones to pick up the slack in 2024.
Wilson emerged as a do it all playmaker for Richard Montgomery, scoring 4 non-offensive touchdowns. In the open field it’s like he’s playing tag, he’s elusive and has good top end speed to create those explosive plays. Offensively he’s used in the screen game and running game to get him into open field. Wilson has an impact on both offense and defense his end of year stats are 816 all-purpose yards, 16 total touchdowns, 6 interceptions and 27 tackles. So far, he has been under the radar in the recruiting, if he capitalizes on an all-county year and has a big season next year expect some college interests to come rolling in.
