Kyros Carr Kyros Carr 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL McCutcheon | 2026 State IN – McCutcheon – OL – 6’4″ 270lbs
Quietly hidden in Lafayette is a young developing lineman who seems to have the physical traits you look for. Carr has a frame that can be developed nicely at the next level. He’s got the length to thrive on the outside, which is where he plays now. He’s also on the left side and working on his footwork there, so he’s got the potential to be the blindside protector. Right now, he could use some work with his strength in the lower body, but it’s not something that holds him back. He’s still good in the running game and can come downhill and open lanes. However, once that strength gets evened out he should be dominant in the running game. Carr is on the field, developing, and has the intangible traits you look for, so he could easily be a top recruit by the time the ’26 class graduates.

Garrett Boling Garrett Boling 6'2" | 200 lbs | LB Scottsburg | 2026 State IN – Scottsburg – LB – 6’3″ 205lbs
One of the best breakout seasons for any LB in the state came from the upcoming stud in Scottsburg. Boling is a big LB who does a great job creating pressure and getting into the backfield. Not only that, but he’s got elite length that allows him to grab guys and bring them down from a distance. So, he’s got elite length and strength which has made him a dominant player for Scottsburg. It’s as simple as that, he was one of their leaders this year. He earned his stripes the hard way, but it was impressive. 125 total tackles, 13.5 TFLs, an interception, and 3 fumbles recovered/forced. He also added 5 catches for 97 yards and 2 TDs on offense, mainly being a red zone receiver for them. In each of his first 2 years, Boling has improved. Where he is now and where he could be in a few years is exciting to see, because he’s quietly dominating in Southern Indiana.

Andrew Sloan Andrew Sloan 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Heritage Christian | 2026 State IN – Heritage Christian – WR – 5’11” 170lbs
Sloan was a guy I first came across in a camp last year where he looked promising, but had yet to do it on the field. I was told that he could be a guy who broke out, but you have to wait and see if it happens. A guy can be talented but it only matters once he gets on the field and Sloan didn’t disappoint. He’s a dynamic WR who works hard with his route running, which is what began to pay off this year. He’s got the speed to get behind the defense as well, so it’s a double dagger for the defense. His hands are good and he doesn’t show them early, either. There are little things that he does where you can just tell Sloan has been coached well. His Sophomore season saw him put up 60 catches for 644 yards, and 5 TDs. It wasn’t a ton of over-the-top stuff, because it was Sloan’s job to find the open spot and convert 1st downs. His IQ is sound and having a high number of catches over the middle of the field is a good sign of that. I’m fairly impressed with Sloan and where he’s at.

Dominick Barry Dominick Barry 6'4" | 220 lbs | WR Center Grove | 2026 State IN – Center Grove – WR – 6’3″ 215lbs
Having an athlete like Barry develop in a program like Center Grove only leads to good things. What he showed this year on the field was a ton of promise and potential. He’s got the big frame you want for a guy to have on the outside, or in the middle at TE. The best part is to this point, he’s been fairly versatile and used in a handful of spots. I’ve got him listed at WR because that’s likely his primary position moving forward, but the point remains he’s got the athletic ability to make you wonder what else he could do. He rotated in this year for Center Grove, but it was about getting his feet wet and getting him the confidence that it takes. Yes, he’ll have a new QB next year, but it’s also a new opportunity for Barry to grow with a QB and potentially become his favorite target. This season, Barry only put up 8 catches for 120 yards, and 1 TD, but it’s about the long-term potential for me, and he’s got quite a bit of that. I also fully expect a big breakout year next year, just based on what we saw this year and some of the spots ahead of him opening-up
