As high school football action continues in the playoffs, it's time to visit the Volunteer State to highlight some intriguing quarterbacks that have established themselves as high-level playmakers during the regular season. Here's my list of some impactful #TN2025 quarterbacks that have proven themselves under center this year.

At the top of my list of notable performers is [player_tooltip player_id='219419' first='George' last='MacIntyre'], a 6-foot-5, 190-pound quarterback at Brentwood Academy. In addition to excellent size, speed and athleticism, what impresses me about MacIntyre is his composure at the helm of the Eagles' offense as well as his arm strength. In the air, MacIntyre showcases excellent precision, connecting with his receivers in stride on deep passes. I also like how MacIntyre can quickly execute off the snap and utilize his footwork and explosive speed to escape the defense and boost ground production.

I am additionally impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='480646' first='Jackson' last='Kilburg'], a 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback at Lipscomb Academy. What I like about Kilburg is his his multi-faceted playstyle and ability to be unpredictable with his shotcalling. At the helm of the Mustangs' offense, Kilburg can strike quickly in the air with his pin-point accuracy as well as stun the defense in the pocket with his durable edge. I'm also fond of Kilburg's arm strength as he proved he can put his team on the scoreboard with strong deep passing and get the ball out of his hands before the defense makes contact.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='219402' first='Tyler' last='Travers'], a 6-foot-5, 195-pound quarterback at Mt. Juliet High School. What makes Travers such an impactful weapon at the helm of the Golden Bears' offense is his ability to quickly target reliable passing lanes. I also like how Travers can stay on his feet under heavy pressure, utilizing his footwork and quickness on the ground to maneuver the field and find an open receiver. Travers also impresses me with his ability to sling bullets into the backfield and remain composed in crucial third-down scenarios.

Another skilled prospect to watch for is [player_tooltip player_id='139272' first='Jayden' last='Neal'], a 5-foot-11, 190-pound quarterback at Knoxville Catholic High School. Neal stands out for the Fighting Irish due to his electric speed off the snap as well as his quick release, showing off his ability to immediately launch the deep ball and put his team on the scoreboard with his accurate aim. Neal's ability to target open receivers and overwhelm the defense with his unpredictable shotcalling and relentlessness in the air has made him a dangerous gunslinger to underestimate this season.

Coming in at number five on my list is [player_tooltip player_id='279488' first='Kam' last='Alexander'], a 6-foot-2, 180-pound quarterback at Bartlett High School. Alexander stands out with his ability to adapt to pressure and make the most of every snap, using his time and space to fire the ball deep into the endzone. Alexander's playmaking ability and versatility on the ground has made him a difficult gunslinger to stop, proving he can break tackles and get the ball into the hands of his receivers before getting taken down by the defense. I also like how Alexander uses his receivers from along the edge to help the Panthers punch into the backfield.

Also worth mentioning is [player_tooltip player_id='816017' first='Chandler' last='Day'], a 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback at Houston High School. What makes Day so unstoppable under center for the Mustangs is his ability to get the ball out of his hands quickly off the snap, showcasing outstanding accuracy. Another aspect of Day's game that stands out his ability to stun the defense down the stretch with his passes, hitting his receiving core on challenging passes, even under extensive coverage. I also like Day's footwork and ability to lock onto open receivers, proving he can put his team into the endzone if given enough time and space.
