It has been a long time since I covered the SIAC, and I apologize to this conference's great fans. First, it was disappointing to see how everyone finished in the playoffs, but I still want to congratulate everyone on their accomplishments. The SIAC Football All-Conference has had a few comments and complaints about it. I am here to give my opinion on the selections.

The first thing that student-athletes need to know about All-Conference selections is that it does not guarantee you a scholarship. College coaches do not only go for All-Conference guys or 1st Team. They evaluate your film, school GPA, personality, and how you treat others. My advice for All-Conference lists: take it with a grain of salt. Everyone deserves the recognition they were given, but at the end of the day, it will come down to your film. I will discuss my thoughts on the offensive selections below, and my next article will focus on the defensive selections.

2023 SIAC Player of the Year

Senior QB/ATH Elijah Wagner was the undisputed SIAC Player of the Year. He led the conference in multiple categories, including passing and rushing yards. There is no dispute that Elijah was the best and most electrifying player in the conference. This young man played with a ton of heart this season and put the team on his back. He is explosive in the run game and leads a strong aerial attack. Elijah Wagner is D1 talent and can be an offensive weapon for a team next fall. Do not sleep on this young man's uber amount of talent!

1st Team Snubs

This is my opinion, and I will not say who should be dropped from 1st down to 2nd. Jasper Senior RB [player_tooltip player_id='930631' first='Carter' last='Holsworth'] being a 2nd Teamer is a joke. He led the conference RBs in rushing yards by 400 yards. I do not want to complain because Carter had a tremendous season and deserves his credit. The Jasper RB is a downhill runner with great speed and power. This is a guy you do not want to overlook this offseason! Bosse Junior WR Tizhaun Tomlinson led the league in receiving yards this season. He was selected 2nd Team. Moving on. Tizhaun is an electrifying player with tremendous speed and athleticism. He has a chip on his shoulder heading into next season and will look to prove some people wrong next season.
