Highlights
Lofton caught two TD passes including an 82-yarder and rushed for another TD in Bishop Gorman’s 56-11 win over Liberty in the 5A D-I final. The Miami-commit continued his dominance in the red-zone with his elite combination of size, speed, power, and athleticism as a playmaker. Lofton, who caught 10 TD passes and rushed for another 9 this season, offers some of the most upside of any offensive player in the country.
Birnbaum needed only 8 carries to total 120 rushing yards and 3 TDs, helping Truckee to repeat as 3A state champions with a 35-14 win over SLAM. The junior RB established himself as one of the top athletes and most versatile playmakers in Nevada 3A football this season with over 1,100 rushing yards and 23 TDs and another 800+ receiving yards and 9 TDs. Birnbaum is one of the top players to watch in 3A heading into next season.
Ramsey caught the game-winning TD on a 57-yard catch with less than two minutes remaining to seal Legacy’s 21-14 victory over Galena in the 5A D-III championship. The senior WR turned two of his three catches into TDs for a total of 112 yards. Ramsey’s a long, physical athlete at 6’4”/195 that’s shown ability to win 1v1 matchups on the perimeter with his natural tools and ability. He’s an intriguing under-the-radar prospect with sneaky physical upside.
Plotnikov capped off his impressive senior season completing 18/26 passes for 196 yards and 2 TDs and rushed for another TD in Centennial’s 49-31 win over Sunrise Mountain in the 4A championship. The senior QB was one of the most productive passers in Nevada this season totaling over 3,000 passing yards and 40 TDs, helping Centennial go from winless in 2022 to 11-1 state champions in 2023. Plotnikov is one of the unoffered QBs available in Nevada.
