To resume my ‘Kentucky Stock Up Performers’ series, here’s my list of the top performers from Week 12 of the season.
rnAt the top of my list of notable performers is Brach Rice Brach Rice 6’3″ | 220 lbs | LB Dixie Heights | 2024 State KY , an athlete at Dixie Heights High School. Rice and the Colonels are coming off a 60-14 blowout victory over Woodford County last week. Rice impresses me with his defensive awareness and physical edge, proving he can muscle the offensive line and disrupt the rush. Rice is also an explosive ground weapon, utilizing bursts of speed to blast past the defense in the pocket and force his way into the endzone.

rnI am additionally impressed with Malik Kirby Malik Kirby 6’0″ | 165 lbs | ATH Mayfield | 2026 State KY , a 5-foot-11, 165-pound athlete at Mayfield High School. Kirby and the Cardinals recently defeated Edmondson County in a 68-0 blowout win this past week. What stands out most about Kirby is his multi-faceted playstyle and overall athleticism, proving he can overwhelm the defense in the backfield as a receiver. On the other side of the ball, Kirby impresses as a defensive back, proving he has excellent breakaway speed and can disrupt passing with his physicality in coverage.

rnClaiming the number three spot on my list is Jeremiah Parker Jeremiah Parker 6’2″ | 195 lbs | LB Louisville Atherton | 2025 State KY , a linebacker at Louisville Atherton High School. Parker and the Ravens collected a 34-0 rout of Seneca last week. Parker makes a difference defensively due to his ability to read the other side of the ball and capitalize on offensive mistakes. In addition to being able to both apply pressure on and sack the quarterback, Parker stands out with his ability to barrel through the offensive line and stop the rush from along the edge.

rnAnother skilled prospect to keep an eye on is Peyton Molter Peyton Molter 6’2″ | 185 lbs | QB DeSales | 2024 State KY , a quarterback at DeSales High School. Molter and the Colts stayed alive last week with a 41-27 victory over Henry County. Molter impresses me offensively down the stretch, proving he can attack the ball in the air and haul in touchdown passes. Molter’s ability to quickly cut away from the defense, pick up speed on the ground and break tackles on his way to the house makes him a high-level prospect to watch for as the playoffs continue.

rnComing in at number five on my list is Kris Hughes Kris Hughes 5’9″ | 170 lbs | ATH Somerset | 2026 KY , an athlete at Somerset High School. Hughes and the Briar Jumpers picked up a 36-0 win over Owen County last week. Offensively, Hughes makes his presence known on the ground, showcasing his ability to stay on his feet in the pocket and put his team on the scoreboard from just a few yards out with his breakaway speed. On the other side of the ball, Hughes stands out with his ability to apply pressure and force turnovers with his outstanding physicality and defensive toughness.
