Two of the title games featuring undefeated teams fall into today's group of state previews.

This is the second of three anticipated reports featuring prospects from the Kansas state title games.

The state championship games in Classes 3A and 2A feature battles between two undefeated teams, while the 1A game could end up being one of the most tightly competed games of the weekend.

Here is a look at the state games that will be played in Hutchinson, Salina, and Hays on November 25.

Class 3A @ Hutchinson: Cheney (12-0) vs Hayden (12-0) – The Hayden Wildcats have put together one of the quietest undefeated runs in the state of Kansas. Washburn Rural got most of the headlines in Topeka this season, while Bill Arnold's Hayden squad has been business as usual. Hayden's defense has pitched four shutouts this season and the most impressive win on the program's resume is a 64-19 pounding of Parsons. Cheney, on the other hand, has had one of the most historic seasons ever. The Cardinals ended Andale's longest win streak in the nation and then beat the Indians again in the sub-state round. Cheney's offense is averaging 34.5 points per game in the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='262730' first='Jackson' last='Voth'], WR, 5'11”, 180, Cheney ‘24

Voth is an electric athlete who can play multiple positions. He posted eye-popping numbers in the sub-state round setting a state record for 19 receptions. He gained 146 yards and scored two touchdowns. Voth has committed to play at New Mexico State University. The Aggies are led by Kansas-connected coaches Jerry Kill, Tim Beck, and Nate Dreiling.

[player_tooltip player_id='1105844' first='Finn' last='Dunshee'], RB/LB, 5'9”, 180, Hayden, ‘24

Dunshee is the kind of football player every coach wants on a roster. He is a no-nonsense grinder who hits people and it tough to tackle. He can play multiple positions and would make a quick impact on a college program's special team units. Dunshee has legs like pistons and plays like a banshee. He has scored 17 total touchdowns in 12 games and 14 of them are of the rushing variety.

Class 2A @ Salina: Hoisington (12-0) vs Nemaha Central (12-0) – Nemaha has an impressive resume heading into the title game. The Thunder has two wins over rival Sabetha and a win over Class 3A Holton. Hoisington only has one regular season game with a point advantage of less than 10. The Cardinals have been blowing out opponents all season. They advanced to the finals with two tough wins over Southeast of Saline and Norton.

[player_tooltip player_id='1107791' first='Tony' last='Moore'], QB, 6'0”, 180, Hoisington, ‘24

Moore is a dual-threat quarterback who orchestrates the Cardinals' high-scoring offense. The senior signal-caller has thrown for 1,453 yards and 19 touchdowns through 12 games. He has also found the end zone eight times running the ball and has rushed for 838 yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='780500' first='Carter' last='Hajek'], QB/RB, 5'11”, 205, Nemaha Central, ‘26

Hajeck is the straw that stirs the drink for the Thunder offense. The sophomore is super athletic and can play multiple positions. He has rushed for over 2,000 yards and scored 39 touchdowns in 12 games played. He has also completed 67 passes for 931 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Class 1A @ Hays: Conway Springs (10-2) vs Jefferson County North (11-1) – Conway Springs lost its first two games of the season to Garden Plain and Kingman but has a 10-game winning streak heading into the state title game. Jeff County's only regular season loss game to St. Mary's in a one-sided affair. The Chargers have beaten a who's who in programs to reach the title game. Jefferson County has wins over Centralia, Olpe, and Colgan who are all legist goats in Class 1A.

[player_tooltip player_id='265194' first='Brayden' last='Kunz'], RB, 6'1”, 190, Conway Springs, ‘24

Kunz has had a prolific season for the Cardinals. He has toted the rock 262 times in 12 games and has gained over 2,500 yards. He has rushed for 21 touchdowns on an offense averaging 42.5 points per game in the playoffs. He also leads Conway Springs in total tackles with 94 from his linebacking position.

[player_tooltip player_id='284900' first='Cade' last='Howell'], LB, 5'9”, 200, Conway Springs, ‘25

Howell is as tough as nails. He has been playing fullback and opening holes for the Cardinals' top two running backs. He is also racking up the tackles with 62 in 12 contests. Six of his tackles have resulted in a loss of yardage and he has one quarterback sack to boot. Howell also has a nose for the football recovering two fumbles for Conway Springs.

Two of the title games featuring undefeated teams fall into today's group of state previews.
