Meridian is coming off a season where they finished as the state runner up. All they have done this season is get a top seed and win a quarterfinal game. This team has found a way to win all season as they were able to walk away with a one point victory over rival Mountain View. Led by their do it all quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='484672' first='Zeke' last='Martinez'] who is able to beat teams with his arm and his legs. Last week he showed off what he could do with his arm as he completed big plays to [player_tooltip player_id='711145' first='Cole' last='Jones']. Meridian has been able to lean on Riley Byington and Marco Del Rio in the back field to lead the run game. Guys like Blaine a room and Nic Maloff open up huge holes for them to run through. Defensively Carson Gooley and [player_tooltip player_id='740807' first='Gabe' last='Martinez'] led a young group of talented players who are showing what they can do on defense. Young players like Mitchell LaGary have really come on late in the season to bolster the line backing core. The Warriors are going back to Pocatello to play Highland a team they beat earlier in the year for a chance to play for the championship
