Riley Kinnett - Bishop Chatard - RB - 5'7" 170lbs - 2024

Kinnett missed a big chunk of the season with an injury, but he came back when they needed him most, and they rode him to victory today. There was 1 guy on the field who was seemingly quicker and playing with a bit higher sense of urgency than most guys around him, and that was Kinnett. Every time they gave him the ball, he made it work. He's willing to be patient and wait for holes to develop but will hit the hole if it's there right away. It's how he put up over 100 yards and 3 TDs in the first half alone. Kinnett was impressive today and was a big reason why they were so dominant today.

[player_tooltip player_id='1396134' first='Collin' last='Guy'] - Bishop Chatard - DB - 5'11" 180lbs - 2024

Guy might have had the best game out of anyone, and that includes what Kinnett did. A big reason why the high-flying Heritage Hills offense was suffocated today was because Guy had not 1, not 2, but 3 interceptions. Heritage Hills got down big early and they had to throw, which forced some balls. Guy made them pay every time and he ended up tying the state record with 3 picks in the finals game. Bishop Chatard was firing on every level today, and Guy had the back end on lockdown.

[player_tooltip player_id='959302' first='Aidan' last='Arteaga'] - Bishop Chatard - QB - 5'11" 185lbs - 2024

Arteaga captained the ship 1 last time today and did a fine job, as he always does. He's efficient, makes most throws, and doesn't try to do too much. He takes what he's supposed to and needs to and moves the ball down the field. Sure, a great running game helps, but you need a guy who can make big throws in critical moments and that's what Arteaga did today. He also delivered 2 TD passes on the night to 2 different receivers as he capped off his HS career.

[player_tooltip player_id='541913' first='Sam' last='Feeney'] - Bishop Chatard - ATH - 6'2" 205lbs - 2024

Feeney helped set the tone early that it might in fact be a long day ahead for Heritage Hills on a simple kickoff. HH seemed to be taking their time blocking and having no real urgency. All of a sudden, Feeney was annihilating the Kick Returner on the 11-yard line. Simple things go far in football, and when Feeney made that play, it all but sealed any concerns for an upset. Feeney and the defense held down and stopped a prolific offense on the biggest stage. Feeney ends his career as a tone-setting champion one last time.
