I literally check out the film of dozens, if not over 100, different middle prospects every single day. From coast to coast, farm towns to big cities, mountains to the beaches and fertile recruiting grounds to needles in a haystack. Here are five offensive prospects that stood out to me today from across the United States on November 9th, 2023. Please note the date, you'll want to remember it in the future.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1081244"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"I understand the initial knee-jerk reaction of, u0022it's Idaho, why are you wasting your timeu0022? But, do yourself a favor, and take a few seconds to watch Careaga on film. He looks like he can play ball at a high levelu002du002dwhich is why he was selected for the Idaho Bowl. As is the case with most pre-high school prospects, I don't have exact measurables on him, but I'd be willing to bet he's in the 5-foot-10, 165-pound range. Careage is the definition of what an ATH (athlete) looks like at the middle school level. I don't care if it's Idaho or New York City, he's an athletic kid that sticks out on the football field. Line him up at wide receiver, running back or even receiving a direct snap at quarterbacku002du002dhe's gonna move the chains. He's an impressive kid.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1082130"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"The wide receiver position group coming out of Maryland in this 2028 class is absolutely loaded. There is elite talent that should translate to big time scholarship offers down the line, nearly everywhere you look. One of those kids is Jordin Williams, who is playing for the famed Maryland Heat organization this year. Williams is a 6-foot, 150-pound receiver with a playing style smoother than butter. Long arms, big hands and excellent conversation has led to some big time production this season. In both warmups and actual games, he ends up bringing in balls that make you stop and say, u0022how did he catch up to that ball and make the catch?u0022 He'll have his choice of high school's to pick from in the DMVu002du002dand when he does, once he gets in the weight room and packs on some muscle, he'll be scary.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1082098"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"A week ago, we covered big PCM two-way lineman Hayden Shannon out of Iowa. Truth be told, I saw him after watching the impressive film of dual-threat quarterback Lewis Daye Jr. Man, he's a good-looking young multi-sport athlete, who is also an impressive baseball player, too. Right now, as an eighth-grader, Daye Jr. is put together better than a lot of varsity football players around the country. If we went by today's forward-thinking college coaches of offering scholarships early, but played the game as if it were 1992 and running the option offense was still an effective base formation, I'm confident he would have an offer. Essentially one big muscle, Daye Jr. runs like a halfback but has a cannon for a right arm. I don't like drawing comparisons to the NFL, but the closest comparison I can come up with for Daye Jr. is Patrick Mahomes. Between the quickness, various arm angles, release points and ability to hurt you with his legsu002du002dit's justified. Now, he's listed at just 5-foot-9 right now, so obviously size will be a question mark. However, the talent is not.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1083542"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"The city of Akron, Ohio is one of the more-talented football areas that nobody seems to talk about on a national level, outside of Archbishop Hoban. One of those talented football players is quarterback, Arthur Thomas. At 5-foot-11 and 130 pounds, Thomas looks like he was born to play the position. On film, he throws an absolutely beautiful ball. His throwing motion looks smooth and natural, with extension and a great release. Has proven to excel tacking snaps under center or out of the shotgun formation. As QB1 of the Akron Buchtel Griffs 8th grade team this year, his film was fun to watch. In addition to his arm, he checks the boxes on other fundamentals such as pocket presence, using his hips to generate power and squaring his shoulders while throwing on the run. Needs to develop a significant amount physically in terms of size and mass, but that should come as he continues to grow over the next four years. There's a lot of potential for big things here, with Thomas.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["1083570"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"At 6-foot-2 and 160 pounds, wide receiver/safety Baron Marshall projects to be playing on Saturday's at a substantial level in four short years. The current Harmony Middle School student-athlete had a banner eighth-grade season, scoring 10 touchdowns and snatching five interceptions in just eight games. For starters, Marshall has excellent control of his body and can adjust any which way in mid-air to make a play on a ball. He's a long kid with an athletic body that allows him to make a play on anything up in the air. At this level, he is also a weapon in the kick and punt return game. Also a basketball player, he has better vision and spacial awareness than a lot of young receivers and understands passing windows. Genetics are a plus as well, as his older brother Dillon Marshall is a University of Northern Iowa commit and is currently ranked the #17 overall and #2 defensive back in PRZ Kansas' 2024 rankings.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-654a70b6cb9af"} /-->
