Huggins has really begun to blossom and take off. He was someone who stood out this past spring at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase and was something I took note of. I made a point to circle back to him to see how his season went, and it’s safe to say he backed up his Spring with his play this fall. He’s been impressive since Week 1 and has only gotten better each week. He’s incredibly lengthy and keeps shooting up. He’s then got nice long legs and can use them for leverage all the time. He can come right off the ball in the running game and clear the edge without much stress. Where he’s really made his strides this fall though is his footwork and staying off his heels. It’s an area you can tell he put quite a bit of work into this summer and it’s yet to fail him this season. His rise since this spring has been pretty noteworthy and he’s only getting better. I’ve quickly become a big fan of Huggins and where I think he could be in a few years. Huggins is a guy who should start at the collegiate level during his career when he’s ready.
Abbs continues to develop and trend in the right direction for a guy who could lock down the outside of a line for the foreseeable future. He’s the son of a football coach who played at the college level. It’s easy to see where Abbs gets his traits from and when he steps on the field, he’s confident. The area Abbs has always been ahead of most young recruits is his footwork. He tends to stay off of his heels and does a good job moving his feet and not staying stationary. This season it felt like he turned a corner. He went from succeeding outside to playing and dominating at a high level. His upper-body strength has begun to catch up and it was very clear. His feet won’t get much wider than his base and he’s always driving out. Where Abbs is today compared to a year ago is day and night. Being able to gain depth at Tackle is hard to master and Abbs is well on his way. Lastly, he’s played on both sides of the line this year. Left and Right tackle and seems as comfortable on 1 side as the other. It’s hard to see Abbs and the trajectory he’s been on the past few years and not think he’s got quite a bit of potential still waiting to be untapped.

Kinsinger has exploded onto the recruiting scene and it doesn’t take long to see why. He’s got an incredible build with some of the best length you’ll see in a player. He’s then violent at the point of attack and does a great job driving defenders into the ground. He’s pretty quick off the ball and shouldn’t move as well as he does for someone his size, but he does and it’s impressive. He’s great on the move in the running game and when he gets a head of steam, is going to clear a path like a plow truck in the snow. Kinsinger takes the motto “move or be moved” to a new level and has no issue getting to the second level to make blocks. He’s fine in the passing game, but still improving across the board. However, a guy with his size and length combined with his mobility and ability to get to the second and third levels of the defense to block is huge. Having the intangibles is what schools are looking for and they’ll coach you up from there. Kinsinger checks all the boxes as a guy who can come in and be a starter at the next level down the road.
