Kohl is a Class of 2023, uncommitted senior quarterback who threw for 2,463 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions while leading Bradley-Bourbonnais to a 7-4 record on the season. Kohl is an incredibly gifted passer who has poise in the pocket, a quick release, and elite arm strength that allows him to push the ball downfield. He is a dual-threat playmaker who can extend plays with his legs and juke defenders in the open field. When he keeps his eyes downfield, he also showcases accuracy when throwing on the run. Rightfully earning his way to the 7A All-State team, this unsigned senior is sure to find a home in the near future.
The 5’10, 180 lbs athlete from Glenbrook North filled a variety of roles this season. Playing primarily quarterback and safety, Philbin tallied 1,850 yards and 17 touchdowns offensively. 1,040 of those yards and 12 of those touchdowns came on the ground. He excels in the quarterback run game, showing off his elusiveness in the open field and breakaway speed that created a multitude of chunk plays. Defensively, Philbin led the team in tackles with 75 total. 36 of those were solo tackles and 4 were tackles for loss. Long story short, Philbin is a playmaker on both sides of the ball and earned his first All-State nod in his final campaign.
Schiller was the only kicker to find his way onto the 7A All-State team, as the senior from Lincoln-Way Central had a monster season. He was perfect on PAT’s, going 39/39. Schiller only missed one field goal on the season, hitting on 13/14 attempts, with his long clocking in at 47 yards. He also put the ball through the end zone on 44 of 52 kick off attempts. Schiller has a powerful leg and elite accuracy that gave the LWC team confidence that they will earn points when they found themselves inside the 35 yard line. Schiller is a hidden gem who currently remains uncommitted.
Joey Campagna
Joey Campagna
Campagna is a 5’9, 175 lbs running back from Lincoln-Way West. The Manhattan, IL native burst onto the scene this season, earning 7A All-State honors and leading the Warriors to a quarterfinals playoff trip before falling to Downers Grove North. Campagna is a tough runner who gets downhill in a hurry. He has strong vision and balance that allows him to avoid tackles. With a solid combination of burst, vision and speed, Campagna is an underrated tailback who should be on everyone’s radar after the season he just finished.
