The powerful senior tailback from Brother Rice had a strong showing in a win over Montini. Nauden rushed for 2 touchdowns and 246 yards in a 24-7 victory. He measures in at 5’10, 195 and has a patient rushing style that pairs well with his skill set. Nauden has fantastic vision, elite shiftiness, and a second burst that is second to none. He smoothly weaves in and out of defenders and accelerates at the snap of a finger. Nauden is currently committed to Navy and will be a key factor in the Crusader’s playoff run down the stretch.
Highlights
Michael Loberg
Michael Loberg
The senior Loberg has been a key piece in Geneva’s historical season. The 6’4, 220 lbs tight end hauled in 4 touchdowns in a conference victory over St. Charles East. Loberg has been playing well all season, as this underrated Class of 2024 prospect uses his big frame to win one-on-one matchups. Loberg is a matchup nightmare in the red zone, as he possesses soft hands and elite body control that allows him to go up and get the ball when it’s thrown in his direction. He is also a physical blocker who has helped spark Geneva’s strong rushing attack. Loberg is a do-it-all tight end who is having the best season of his career in his final campaign.
Foley Calcagno
Foley Calcagno
The sophomore linebacker had a huge night as Immaculate Conception got back on track in a big win over conference foe De La Salle. Calcagno tallied 11 tackles and 2 sacks on the night, wreaking havoc on the opposing offense all night long. The 5’10, 185 lbs linebacker has been getting better and better each week, as he plays with a high motor and extreme physicality. Whether it’s a run play or a pass play, Calcagno will not stop until he finds the ball. He is highly instinctual and rarely lets one blocker stop him from making a play. As Calcagno continues to string together impressive games, he will surely be a top player at his position heading into next season and beyond.
Richard Conley
Richard Conley
Conley stepped up in a big way on Saturday, as Romeoville rolled passed Joliet Central. In his first varsity start, the sophomore quarterback combined for over 250 yards and 4 touchdowns. He threw for 121 and 2 touchdowns and added another 131 and 2 touchdowns on the ground. He has an accurate arm and can find open receivers in the holes of the opposing defense. He throws the ball with strong velocity and is a threat in the quarterback run game. Conley has a quick burst and runs the ball fluidly through open gaps. He is a dual-threat signal caller who may not be well know at the moment. However, as the sophomore QB continues to develop, Conley’s stock will continue to soar.
Jordan Kemp
Jordan Kemp
Kemp has been putting together a monster season after transferring from Bolingbrook to Lockport for his senior year. It just so happens that his latest big game came against his former team. The Porters defeated the Raiders 42-27, as Kemp’s 3 touchdowns on the night proved to be the difference. He possesses a bruising rushing style that allows him to run through arm tackles with ease. Kemp can also accelerate in the blink of an eye. His physicality allows him to get through the first and second levels, and once Kemp sees open grass, good luck catching him. As Lockport has found themselves back in the playoff picture, Kemp is a big reason why. Lookout for this senior to continue to shine as the Porters finish the season and head into the postseason.
