The senior from Middleton had a monster night running the football. Using his tough running style Holman was able to put up 14o yards on the ground with two touchdowns. On defense he made 11 tackles and showed why he is two way star for Middleton. Holman is one of the top players in the SIC and showed it during the SIC crossover games. As Middleton moves into the playoffs they will be leaning on Holman heavily as one of their top players on offense and defense.
Fine continues to have a monster season for Homedale where the senior is shining as a dual threat weapon. Fine showed once again why he is a force to be reckoned with as he threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns, while running for 104 yards and another score. Fine is one of those rare players that can really do it all with a quick release and the ability to break off huge runs. He is definitely in the conversation as a player of the year candidate and will be the driving for Homedale in the playoffs.
Nelson has filled in quite nicely for Mountain View after losing their starter to injury. As he has played well for the last season games and this last friday was no exception as he went 13-23 for 205 yards and three touchdowns. He is one of the top sophomores passers in the state with his ability to throw the ball at all three levels. Where he really excels in his ability to push the ball down the field. As the playoffs come the sophomore is going to show what he is truly made of as the Mavericks are going to need his ability.
Highlights
Minnaert had a monster game and continues to have a monster season. He is the workhorse for the Knights and has continued to show why the football should be placed into his hands. After rushing for 159 yards and two touchdowns on the way to a 4A SIC Championship Minnaert shows why he is considered by many as the top back in the state of Idaho regardless of class. He is primed for a monster postseason as the Knights look to get back to the state championship game and they are going to need the legs of their senior to do it.
