<p>I am an old soul and I love the running back position. Growing up 1,000 yards was always the measuring stick in football for a quality season by a back.</p>

<p>I have seen several great running backs finish with 1,000-yard seasons and in this era of pass-happy football teams, I want to do my part to honor big running back seasons.</p>

<p>As we move into the last couple of games of the season hit me up through social media when someone reaches the mark. Otherwise, I only have public stats to go off of.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='780500' first='Carter' last='Hajek']</strong>, QB/RB, 5'11”, 205, Nemaha Central, ‘26</p>

<p>Sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='780500' first='Carter' last='Hajek'] has rushed for 1,157 yards for Nemaha Central. He has scored 21 touchdowns through six games on the ground. He has also thrown for five touchdowns and 438 yards.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='676313' first='Colton' last='McKanna']</strong>, RB, 5'9”, 190, Spring Hill, ‘24</p>

<p>McKanna has scored 20 touchdowns for Spring Hill. He has rushed for 1,157 yards in six games for Spring Hill. He is on pace to surpass his touchdown total of 24 during his junior season. He is also a threat to catch passes out of the backfield with 10 catches, for 136 yards and one touchdown.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='544724' first='Colton' last='Brusven']</strong>, RB, 5'10”, 185, Tonganoxie, ‘24</p>

<p>Brusven has rushed for 1,077 yards for the Chieftains through six games. He has scored 15 touchdowns. He is a hard-nosed running back who can also play linebacker. He has 17 total tackles this season.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1103625' first='Max' last='Younie']</strong>, RB/QB, 6'2”, 190, Pratt, ‘24</p>

<p>Younie has rushed for 1,075 yards and for 17 touchdowns for Pratt. He has also thrown for 374 yards and five touchdowns for the Greenbacks. He is physical and his combination of size and speed makes him hard to tackle. Younie has no problems gaining yards after first contact.</p>

<p>Lee has rushed for 1,023 yards in five games. He has scored seven touchdowns and has one run for 89 yards. The Owls' back has breakaway speed and takes care of the football. He has only fumbled the ball once this season.</p>
