After losing to Westmoore at home, the Trojans had the challenge of a short week, a road trip to Norman and a Thursday night contest against #4 Norman North. The Trojans bounced back in a major way with a 42-14 win over the Timberwolves on Thursday night. They took advantage of Norman North's four turnovers in the first half to jump out to a big lead that they wouldn't surrender.

In addition to the four turnovers, the Trojans also used the big play on offense to light up the scoreboard in the first half. Norman North had some promising drives on several different occasions but they either turned the ball over or got pushed back by a Jenks defense that was playing with an intensity throughout the night. Norman North's first drive featured a 30+ yard run that ended with a fumble that was recovered by the Trojans. On third down, quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='598834' first='Owen' last='Jones'] found freshman sensation [player_tooltip player_id='478124' first='Semaj' last='Stanford'] on a 72-yard touchdown to put the Trojans up 7-0.

Norman North turned the ball over three more times and Jenks scored three more touchdowns before halftime. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='115729' first='Simian' last='Gilkey'] added a short touchdown run halfway through the first quarter. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='402378' first='KD' last='Jones'] scored from 31 yards out early in the second quarter and less than two minutes later, he scored his second touchdown of the night to put Jenks up 28-0 after the Trojans recovered a Norman North fumble. Just before halftime, Norman North had first and goal but would get pushed back to the point where they were out of field goal range.

The defense was lights out in the first three quarters before they sat the majority of their starters for the final quarter. Jenks added two more touchdowns in the third quarter with [player_tooltip player_id='402378' first='KD' last='Jones'] scoring from 11 yards out and then [player_tooltip player_id='598834' first='Owen' last='Jones'] found [player_tooltip player_id='482965' first='Ayden' last='Christiansen'] for a 60-yard touchdown to give the Trojans a 42-0 lead after three quarters. The Timberwolves added a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter against the Jenks backups as they fell to 4-1 on the season and Jenks improved to 3-3.

Class 6A-1 is absolutely wild and unpredictable this season. Outside of Bixby, who continue their dominance week after week, the rest of the class is hard to get a gauge on. Here's a good example. In week zero, Edmond Santa Fe beat Jenks but then they lost to Norman North in week two. But Jenks just beat Norman North on Thursday night. And that's just one example of how crazy this season has been so far.

JENKS' TOP PERFORMERS
