Continue ReadingRecruits are posting their single game and accumulative first three – five game highlight reels of the fall 2023 season. Our “Friday Film Room Series” report is a weekly report I do to preview various recruits with posted fall 2023 season films and briefly analyze what stands out for each recruit. Viewing a recruit’s recent highlight film is one of many tools we use to evaluate. This is how we and many college coaches can get a great feel for each recruit and their potential. These reports include a Hudl video or link for each recruit that is viewed and evaluated. Friday Film Room is a weekly report published each week leading up to the end of the 2023 year.
Carson Hill Carson Hill 6’1″ | 165 lbs | WR Choate Rosemary Hall | 2025 State New E Choate Rosemary Hall / 6’1” – 165lbs – WR – ‘25
Film Review Notes: A pleasure to view “Hill’s” film. He is an athlete who is positioned at WR. He is an experienced route runner who knows how to work to get separation in man coverages and find those soft spots in zone coverages. His hands are solid. He flashes tough, physical, consistent efforts to get YAC after each catch. Coaches will love to see his willingness to provide effective blocks on the perimeter at the next level. Standing 6’0″ 165lbs his measurables align with him with FBS group of five or high FCS wide receiver potential. His verified speed and agility will help dictate to college coaches at what level he will be recruited.
Charles Kaludis Charles Kaludis 6’4″ | 235 lbs | TE Suffield Academy | 2025 State New E Suffield Academy | 6’3 225lbs | TE/DE | 3.8 GPA | ‘25 | Highlights link in bio | Email: 25ck@suffieldacademy.org Film Review Notes: His toughness combined with effort and motor is what easily caught my attention. “Kaludis” is a solid athlete who can do many things and do them well. On offense at the Hback position, his superior blocking skills shine early in his film. He delivers violent blocks to get the defender off his feet/balance and to the ground. His ability to pluck the ball from the air in traffic at midfield and use his strong lower body to pull defenders upfield for additional Yac are traits that will impress at the next level. A short glimpse of his quickness on the edge while on defense and his relentless motor gives him versatility that will open many doors for him going forward. His measurables align with a FBS group of 5 or high FCS Tight-end/Defensive end potential.

JD Rayner JD Rayner 6’5″ | 270 lbs | DL Catholic Memorial | 2025 State New E Catholic Memorial 2025 | TE/DE | 6’5 250 |
Film Review Notes: A pleasure to view “Rayner’s” mid-season tape. Especially after viewing him in a live game setting earlier this season. In a live game setting, he caught my attention with his ability to get off the ball while positioned in the tight-end position with a very low center of gravity and deliver effective downblocks that open massive holes. His film shows many clips of him executing these types of blocks on offense. He also shines on defense being an effective defensive lineman with long range that he uses to create havoc in opponent’s backfields. He uses very good leverage to get movement on his target. He posses a lean muscular frame. His measurables align with being an FBS power 5 defensive lineman potential prospect.

He brings very good balance and body control to the field and can bend. His flat out speed is impressive and he can pull away from defenders. He uses a very aggressive running attack that pops on film. His field vision and ability to locate running lanes quickly are of higher quality. He has a confirmed 10.8, 100 m speed that will surely attract FBS schools. His measurables align with FBS power 5 running backs. HUDL HIGHLIGHTS

An outside linebacker who can deliver the boom when blitzed off the edge or stunting inside. He gets there with good foot quickness and uses his strong, violent hands and arms to shed blockers who attempt to get in his way. His physical presence pops on film. He reacts quickly to passing situations and his field awareness to open receivers is special. He has the skills to cover in man coverages and react quickly to zone coverages. A solid large framed linebacker who measurables align with an FBS Power 5 linebacker.
