Continue ReadingBaker has had one of the more decorated careers of a signal caller across the Bay Area in some time, and is a true winner, competitor and a no brainer division I caliber quarterback. Going up against one of the top defenses in the region in De La Salle, he took over the game and put up big time numbers against a top tier opponent, as usual. He threw for 204 yards, rushed for another stellar 180 on the ground and three total touchdowns. He is one of the most under-recruited kids in the entire state, and that should change as we near the first national signing day. Look for Baker to continue leading this loaded SRV squad deep into the playoffs.
Highlights
Keanaaina is a great athlete on both sides of the ball with elite explosion, ball carrying abilities and is a very sound football player. He had just under 100 yards on the ground and added another 84 yard punt return, which broke a long time school record that had been in the books for years, according to multiple school reports. He is averaging more than 100 yards per game from the backfield, and has been one of the top backs in northern California this season. Currently, he holds one offer from Arizona, and it should not be long until other power five schools come knocking.
Turner is having a truly historic senior season for Mt. Diablo. He has already rushed for over 2,000 yards and 31 touchdowns, while adding 290 scrimmage yards per game on average through the first eight weeks of the season. He has been erupting every single week for Mt. Diablo and proved that he is a FBS caliber back with big time upside at the next level due to his short area wiggle and downfield burst. Turner who transferred from Freedom in the Spring, checks into our running back rankings as a top 25 back across the state, and could see some movement in the next update due to such a stellar senior season.
Miles Dixon
Miles Dixon
Dixon is a big bodied smooth route runner that can go up and get the ball in traffic, while also able to settle and beat zone coverage when needed and is a complete receiver on the outside. Dixon also shows that he can get off press coverage, gets into corners blind spots, and can break open field tackles with good contact balance and forces bad angles in the open field. Against a solid opponent in Moreau Catholic on Friday night in Hayward, he exploded for 170 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns. Look for this Dragons team to make a playoff push in the NCS Div. 4 playoffs and be one of the more dynamic offenses in that division come November.
