As the season winds down, it's time to reflect on the regular season and point out some productive QBs who raised their stock this fall. With all of these guys having at least 1 year of development left before they hit the college level, it's important to make note of these gun-slingers and file them away as they continue to grow and improve.

Elliot Sturbaum - 2025 - McIntosh

McIntosh got the most out of their QB position last year and didn't skip a beat this fall with Elliot Sturbaum exploding onto the scene. Sturbaum is a baseball player as well with good measurables, standing tall in the pocket at 6'3 170. He is still getting bigger, but he can take on big hits in the pocket and drive through contact as a runner. Sturbaum has a longer, linear style release. However, he throws the ball with excellent anticipation, hitting his landmarks and getting the ball out of his hand while the receiver gets into his break. He does an excellent job of mixing up touch and trajectories to make different throws to all three levels. One note in his evaluation is how he handles the RPO game. He does an excellent job of attaching his eyes, hips, and feet together, quickly getting his hips around and firing the ball into tight windows. In the short area, his ball placement is impressive as well, firing it out in front of his receivers where they can avoid the most contact and get their hands up to stick it out of the air. As he heads into his senior season, Sturbaum's junior tape should give college programs at the NAIA-FCS levels plenty to think about.

[player_tooltip player_id='1293263' first='Jim' last='Franklin'] - 2025 - Aquinas

Franklin is a super impressive QB prospect physically and has the production this fall to back it up. Franklin instantly draws eyes with his 6'4 200 frame, towering over defenders in the pocket and showing enough mass to shed off tackle attempts and even drop the shoulder to violently finish runs if necessary. In the pocket, Franklin is calm and collected as he surveys the field. When pressure leaks through, his feet stay solid to the ground and he does a great job of extending through the pocket. When out on the move, his eyes are always attached downfield and he keeps two hands on the football. He locates open receivers well when on the move and operates the scramble drill nicely. He has a super elastic arm and gets the ball out quickly. He is capable of throwing the ball into tight windows regardless of whether he is on-platform or not. He simply doesn't hesitate to get the ball out of his hand to receivers working a 1v1 with winning leverage and he can make those throws by putting touch or velocity on the ball. Franklin is a legit traits QB prospect with D1 upside and he has the production to back it up.

[player_tooltip player_id='1293270' first='Skyler' last='Williams'] - 2025 - North Murray

Williams is a super impressive athlete at the QB spot who also plays with impressive marksmanship and takes care of the football. Williams gets it done with his arm and with his legs. He showcases excellent pocket presence, taking the snap and getting back in his drop calmy. When surveying the field, Williams is able to go through numerous progressions before leaving the pocket and he does a great job of setting his feet before he throws. He has a long, almost pitcher-like throwing motion, but he quickly shoots his hips and whips his arm down, creating plenty of velocity on the football. Williams does an excellent job of layering the ball over defenders while hitting his receivers in stride. He launches the ball way downfield with no hesitation, putting tons of air on the ball and letting his receiver do the rest. As a runner, Williams really takes his game to another level. He squeezes tacklers well, forcing weak tackling attempts, and breaks to the outside to continue his chase to the endzone. At around 6'3 200, Williams isn't easy to bring down either, flashing good contact balance. Williams is a D1 prospect as an athlete, and I believe his future is at QB. He is an elite playmaker, but he also plays with good decision-making and presence in the pocket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1089002' first='Brody' last='Hannah'] - 2026 - Loganville

[player_tooltip player_id='1089002' first='Brody' last='Hannah'] took the reins for Loganville this fall as a youngster and exploded. With the season winding down, Hannah leads the state in passing yards. Hannah is a thick-bodied QB prospect at 6'2 205 and is a pure pocket passer, standing tall in the pocket. However, he does have some mobility, showcasing the ability to climb the pocket to extend plays, and can act as a chain mover if needed. Hannah might have forced a couple of throws this year, but his explosive play potential is off the charts. He has booming arm strength and shows a clear shift in his weight from his back foot. He can fire the football into hard-to-reach areas of the field and hit his receivers in stride, which opens up an entirely new set of plays that he can handle. When out on the run, Hannah does an excellent job of firing his hips and launching the ball, showcasing enough juice in his arm to pick apart defenses while on the move. Hannah has some good WRs out wide with some jump ball potential, but he helps them out a lot by lofting a catchable ball with plenty of touch. All in all, Hannah is a big QB with sneaky mobility, a strong arm, and confidence in his decision-making. He is someone I could see picking up some D1 traction headed into his junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1565843' first='Kolby' last='Martin'] - 2026 - Sequoyah

[player_tooltip player_id='1565843' first='Kolby' last='Martin'] might not scare you coming off the bus at around 5'11 160, but he plays with tremendous poise and can attack the defense in numerous ways. He was productive as a passer in an offense that evolved from a more traditional triple option to a more spread-out attack this fall. [player_tooltip player_id='1565843' first='Kolby' last='Martin'] throws the ball with excellent placement. As a shorter guy, he isn't going to be able to consistently rocket the ball over the middle of the field. He supplements that by throwing each pass with perfect spin and laying it on a landmark for his receiver to make a grab. When Martin gets out on the run, he does a good job of getting upfield when he throws. This allows him to get plenty of momentum on the football instead of firing the ball as he's falling away. Martin wasn't a super productive runner, but he is a twitchy athlete who can avoid pressure and scamper ahead of the chains on 3rd down when needed. Martin is still young, but he played with impressive poise this fall and built a little buzz as a result.
