Wichita Northwest Offensive Prospects

Fourteen different Grizzly athletes across three class years show up in the rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I watched the first half of the Grizzlies non-conference game in Topeka on September 29.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Grizzlies dominated the game from the get-go and played without their highest-ranked player in the Class of 2024 running back [player_tooltip player_id='146115' first='Cencere' last='Thompson'].</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is a look at five ranked players on the offensive side of the football.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Aaron Bohannon Jr</strong>., RB, 5'8", 160, RB, '26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>ABJ entered the game with 368 yards rushing and two total touchdowns. He is ranked No. 1 in the Class of 2026 by Prep Redzone. Bohannon is super quick and slides through holes like oil through a funnel. He makes tacklers miss and moves really well laterally he scored three touchdowns in the first half against Topeka High.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='415303' first='Jayce' last='Glasper'], </strong>ATH, 6'2”, 185,'24</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Glasper is listed as a quarterback in the Class of 2024 rankings, but he is primarily playing wide receiver for the Grizzlies. The senior prospect caught five balls for 100 and a 10-yard touchdown in the first half. Through four games Glasper has rushed for 263 yards and three touchdowns. Glasper is ranked No. 48 in the Class of 2024. He is a solid route runner and has nice hands.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='543029' first='Dalton' last='Schraeder'], </strong>OL, 6'5”, 280,' 24</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Schraeder is a tough right guard. He has great upper body strength and plays with good pad level. Schraeder is currently ranked No. 125 in the Class of 2025.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='585904' first='Jaylen' last='Mason']</strong>, QB, 6'1”, 180, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mason entered the game against Topeka having thrown for 432 yards and five touchdowns. The sophomore quarterback has rushed for 84 yards and two scores through four games.  He has a quick release but needs to work on his accuracy. He threw two touchdowns early in the game against the Trojans. Mason is currently ranked No. 2 by Prep Redzone in the Class of 2026 rankings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='904443' first='Chase' last='Carter']</strong>, WR, 6'2”, 185, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Carter caught a 25-yard touchdown in the first half. Carter is currently ranked No. 37 in the Class of 2026. He is not the primary target in the Northwest offense, but very well could be in the next two seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
